Kaiping, named Kaiping County in the Ming Dynasty, was named after the county was governed in Kaipingtun. It is affiliated to Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province, southwest of Pearl River Delta, middle of Wuyi hometown of overseas Chinese, and connected with Xinhui, Heshan, Taishan, Enping and Xinxing.
