Economic investigation of Xiakou village

Xiakou Village is the largest professional fishing village in Ganyu County. There are more than 600 high-powered fishing boats in the village, which are engaged in fishing in the open sea all the year round. The main fishing products are swimming crab, curveball, catfish, flounder, barracuda, yellow croaker, perch and jellyfish, with an annual fishing output value of more than 400 million yuan and an income of 200 million yuan.

Aquatic seedling industry is another key pillar industry in Xiakou Village. Especially in recent years, with the continuous adjustment of fishery industrial structure, the seedling industry in this village has been developing towards new varieties, high efficiency and intensification by updating seedling varieties. At present, the village has developed more than 0/00 seedling enterprises/kloc, and the main seedling varieties are China shrimp, Oriental shrimp, South American shrimp, river crab, puffer fish, mud crab, Portunus trituberculatus, laver and Macrobrachium rosenbergii.

Aquaculture is a traditional industry in Xiakou Village and a key pillar industry in the village. In recent years, the village has broken through the mudflat culture, and made full use of the intertidal zone and more than 30,000 mu of shallow water around Qinshan Island for scientific culture. The main cultured species are prawn, Penaeus vannamei, puffer fish, barracuda, sturgeon, laver, clam and oyster.

The fourth is the seafood processing industry. Developed aquaculture and fishery have laid the foundation for the development of aquatic product processing industry in Xiakou Village. At present, the village has developed more than one aquatic product processing factory 10, and the main products are primary laver, secondary laver, prawn, lobster, various shellfish and fish fillets.
