Yangji village, the bustling heart of Guangzhou's international metropolis, is rooted in a quiet small village in Conghua, a hundred miles away!

This small village is called Macun, which is 7 kilometers north of the city. The mountain 2 kilometers north of the village stands tall, with Laoya Mountain, Wushitang, lion-shaped, big nest, millstone and serpentine lined up from east to west, just like crossing your hands to guard the north of the village. There is a flood dike in the east of the village, Liuxi River outside the dike, and Yuntai Mountain on the other side of the river; There is a farmland in the west of the village, which runs through the irrigation canal of Baxiang. Macun Plain is between the two waters, and a street runs through it. Macun is by the river, suffering for a long time. Many temples were destroyed by floods in the fifty-second year of Kangxi (17 13) and the thirty-seventh year of the Republic of China (1948). Before liberation, the villagers spontaneously moved soil, built stones and mounds at the east end of the village and planted litchi trees. The "Jiuli Township" in the couplet is another name of Ma Village in ancient times, and Jiuli is distributed in the new pool of Mayi Village today; Hua Han Li, Lou Town and Qing Yu in Ma 'er Village; Masan Village Liantangli, Li Changxing, Li Zhuyuan, Xintianli and Panluli. Macun was first named after a horse. On the left front of the village, there are two hills facing each other like horses, which means "two horses return to the column", so it is called "Ma Village". After the homonym of "Ma" and "Kun", it was renamed as Kun Village. Later, the "gun" was simply called "horse" and called Macun.

Banyan is the "octopus" in the plant kingdom. Once entangled, the original tree can hardly have itself. The banyan tree borrowed Qiu Feng and lived as high as he wanted, while the dead Qiu Feng borrowed the banyan tree and stood still, as if he had lived again. Leaving the maple trees in autumn, heading south, we came to Xinxiang ancient village in Mar. There is a big banyan tree at the end of the village, and the Gong Li Temple in Guangqing, commonly known as "Qing Yu Hall", is located in Qing Yu Lane. The ancestral temple is also normal, except that a pillar of "Mount Tai Shi Gandang" is embedded in the east and west corners, which is unusual. It is also common to erect stone piers in the corner, but it is not common to carve tiger face patterns on stones. Although he glared with his mouth open and showed his fangs, he felt like a smiling face, full of joy, which made people feel that the power of this gap was broken.

Leaving the stone, heading south, we came to the big house of Ma Er and the ancient village of Ma Yixinchi. The big house is located in two old ancestral temples in Qing Dynasty, Gong Li Temple and Gong Li Temple. Gong Li Temple faces south and has three rooms and three entrances. The murals on the door and wall are still the original works of Xianfeng period. There are "Three Friends", "Four-phase Diagram" and "Drunk Fairy Diagram", as well as paintings of phoenix, magpie and peony. There are also poems: the doctor and the gentleman are in the same forest, the green shadow is in the shade, or: the mountains are green with the years, and the rivers are getting silent. To find the source of Macun, we must start with Macun crossing. Because we passed Macun first, and then Jiuli Township. And 800 years ago, the landing of an official's son opened the curtain of Macun's reproduction.

Looking for Macun Ferry, I was led by Li Guixiang, the "old village man" of Macun. Xiang Bo lion has a round nose, wide arms and a round waist. Although he is nearly eighty, his physique is ten years younger. He is enthusiastic about village history and used to be the old branch secretary of Macun. Xiang Bo has the only old genealogy that Macun "rescued". On the cover of kraft paper, the book "Li Family Tree" and "Eternal Life" is written in big ink, which is as thick as a brick. His mother was a copy of Li's Genealogy during Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty, which was held by Pan Shu, a clan relative. Macun revised the genealogy eight times from the Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, but it failed after repeated attempts. In the hands of Uncle Pan, it is the last old genealogy of Macun. In the 1990s, the old genealogy was in tatters. Xiang Bo tried his best to borrow a copy from Uncle Pan. In the end, the old genealogy could not escape the fate of extinction, and was torn to pieces by Uncle Pan, who was unconscious later. On 20 18, Li Rongxuan, a classmate of Macun and former headmaster of Huancheng Middle School, revised and printed a new genealogy of Macun, so that the history of Macun would never be lost.

Macun crosses the west bank of Liuxi River in the southeast of Macun. According to the ancient county annals of Conghua, Macun Ferry is one of Conghua 1 1 Guandu. Guandu, also called Du Zhi, "sailed to the provincial capital". In the past, Liuxi River was wide and deep, and people and goods could go directly to Guangzhou by waterway. When Macun crossed the river, boat trips flourished. Bamboo firewood from Liangkou in the upper reaches of the river transits here, and the local rice and grain production in Macun also comes from this. Before liberation, Macun was famous as "Qi Mei Rice". Gao Laotang, a rice vendor, specializes in harvesting grain and then hires wooden boats to land in the provincial capital. In the 1950s, fluorite was dug out in a serpentine shape and transported by water to Guangzhou Iron and Steel Plant for steelmaking and impurity removal. For the safety of navigation, in the 11th year of Qing Daoguang (183 1), Kannonji was built beside Macun Ferry, which later evolved into a place for villagers to pray and make wishes. On New Year's Day, Dragon Boat Festival, and Guanyin's birthday, incense is endless. In the 31st year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty (1905), Macun Social School was built next to Kannonji. At the main entrance, there is a couplet written by Li Zhuhou, an old teacher of Zhixin Middle School: society and civilization are connected, and the school macro-educates Tao Zhu. During the Republic of China, children in Macun were enlightened here. Due to the elevation of the cement pavement platform, there is no shadow under Yong ying and Tao Zhu.

The prosperity of Macun Ferry promoted the development of commerce and gave birth to Macun Market. According to the records of Conghua ancient county annals, Macun market is one of Conghua 13 markets. "In the first six months, villagers in Macun will go there." The Macun market near Kannonji reached the peak of prosperity before and after liberation. Every market day, not only villagers in Macun go, but also villagers around Guanglian, Beixia, Jiekou and Yunxing come to the market. There is only a small street in the market, where vendors pick agricultural products with small baskets and sell them on the ground, and there are also food stalls cooking stoves and frying powder on the spot. There are medicine shops, iron shops, pork shops, grocery stores and supply and marketing cooperatives on both sides of the street. There is also a Fujin teahouse on the second floor, and there is a wooden attic on the second floor to provide refreshments and meals for vendors. Gun Front runs a blacksmith's shop. The stove is red and jingling, and all kinds of farm tools are ready. He is a good craftsman. He can make guns and make fires. There is an obscure book stand in the bustling booth, where there are twenty or thirty comic books like the four classical novels, which children often look at. The stall owner is 8-year-old Li Zhenmin. He lent 1 cent from the library and rented 2 cents for reading. Some children often "Liu Bei borrowed Jingzhou", but Li Zhenmin couldn't make a difference, and later he often became "Liu Bei". Xiong Haizi, who set up a stall that year, spent his whole life dealing with agricultural machinery when he grew up. In the 1970s, Li Zhenmin entered the commune agricultural machinery factory as a technician, specializing in walking tractors. In those days, walking tractors could replace most human cultivated land. The machine is broken, and the farmers can't afford to be hurt, but they are still in a hurry. Where his hand was broken, Lao Li got on his bike and repaired it. Later, he studied the modification of agricultural machinery and developed semi-mechanized rice transplanter, rice transplanter and beater to solve the problem of farmers' "three stoops"; In the 1980s, Lao Li set up his own factory and refitted a self-unloading walking tractor, one of which earned 1200 yuan; In the 1990s, Lao Li transformed into a rural construction contractor. Today, Macun Ferry has become a part of Liuxi River flood dike. Macun market has long been deserted and dilapidated. The small stone steps that left the footprints of Macun's ancestors were also buried under the cement pavement.

At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Li Dui (1185-1258), the ancestor of Macun, came to Macun. His great grandfather was none other than Liv Anzheng, a well-known leader of the provincial capital in Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty. His grandfather is Li Ming, the eldest son and the official doctor. His father is Gong Ming's second son and professor. Teach me to know the patented plum calyx. Macun became the "general birthplace" of Li's surname from Conghua. The descendants of "Six Absolutely" are mainly distributed in Macun, but also in Conghua, Menkoujiang, Dafutian, Hecun, Shuixi, Guanzhuang, Shinan, Yunxing, Kapok and Panxi. As far as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Qingyuan and other provinces. Among them, Li of Yangji Village is a great successor.

The "gatehouse tube" is located in the ant new pool in the ancient village. The whole new pool faces south, with blue bricks and plain tiles, arranged in a comb-like arrangement of nine vertical and eleven horizontal. There are five big houses and three small houses. Rooms are divided into different sizes, the big ones are called rooms and the small ones are called corridors. Housing is graded, and there is a jingle, "big boys live in houses and little boys live in corridors." There is an irregular rectangular wind pool in front of the ancient village, and a one-meter-high fence is built in the pool. Herringbone granite is laid along the wall, and there are shooting holes in the wall, which is the first line of defense; The first row of houses is the south wall, with no windows. Once the alley door is closed, it is like a row of city walls, forming a double line of defense. Ancient thieves ran amok, forcing our ancestors' superb survival wisdom.

The stone tablet on Shimen is engraved with five majestic black characters of "Renqing Gong Li Temple", which was written by the 24th Sun Shu of Ann. Ren Qinggong was born in the Yuan Dynasty, with the word Shude, number 94. According to the old genealogy, he was smart since childhood and looks extraordinary. As the name implies, Renqing Gongren is kind and graceful. Villagers in trouble, "push everything to help them", everyone is convinced. Ren Qinggong is kind and filial because of his mother Ouyang Waner's good teaching. In the shrine of Lee's Ancestral Hall, there is a main card of "Ouyang Qian". This Ouyang Waner is her father and grandfather. Li's ancestral temple actually enshrines a person with a foreign surname? It turns out that there is a story of "Grandpa Tian". Qian Liugong, a native of Phoenix Garden, has many fields in his hand, but he has no children under his knees, only two married women. One day, Qian Liugong took the land certificate to his eldest daughter's house and gave it to his grandson. At lunch, the grandson shouted, "Grandpa, it's time to eat!" " "Qian Liugong heard the voice, but his grandson said," I'm not calling you, I'm calling my own grandfather! " "Qian Liugong was sad and wanted to get the title deed back, so he lied that he had a stomachache and needed to cover his stomach with the title deed to stop the pain. I wonder if the eldest daughter is going to return it all. Qian Liugong took back the land certificate and went straight to the second daughter's house. When I walked away, I heard my grandson Ren Qing shout, "Grandpa is coming, kill the chicken!" It turned out that Renqing wanted to eat chicken, so his mother taught him to leave the chicken to honor his grandfather. Qian Liugong was full of joy and thought that Renqing would be outstanding in the future, so he gave all the land titles to Macun's grandson. Before liberation, Macun's "foreign farm" was as far away as Zhu Shan, and Zhu regarded it as a guest.

In Guma Village, Ren Qing is not the only one. Future generations are kind and filial to the elderly, and the elderly in the village live a long life. In ancient times, the living conditions were low, and seventy years old was rare, let alone a hundred years old. According to the records of ancient county annals in Conghua, in the 28th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1689), there was only one 93-year-old man in the county. Those who live to be a hundred years old are rare, and the government can give rice, silver and cotton. That spring, Guo Yuxi, the county magistrate, met Li Xincun, the grandson of an 18, a centenarian who lived from Wanli of Ming Dynasty to Kangxi of Qing Dynasty. He came down to see Guo with the help of his nephew Li Riqi. Guo asked: Why don't you get a reward? Li Yue: I'm just a countryman. When I was a child, I only plowed fields and dug wells. When I am old, I can only cut wood and grass, for fear of humiliating my grace! Guo sighed: you are really a sage! Guo Yuxi wanted to send a plaque and a watch when he went back. The old man died before the plaque was finished.

In Guma village, there are many officials who are famous for their benevolence and filial piety. In the sixth year of Yuan Dade (1302), Li Kaozhong, the only son of Bi Suigong, became the only scholar of Yuan Dynasty in the history of Conghua imperial examination. Li has served as the chief referee of NSW General Administration and secretary of Luzhou Secretariat. The ancient books recorded Li's filial piety. In the eighth year of Zheng De in Ming Dynasty (15 13), Li Rifang, the descendant of Bi Chenggong, was granted the Nanping fatwa. Li Rifang is a dutiful son. He paid his salary to let his second brother serve his parents. Nanpingluo Temple was forgotten, and he donated money to build a monument for it. During his tenure as magistrate of Changting County, he supervised the construction of the ancestral temple of Prime Minister Wen as a memorial. In the 17th year of Daoguang reign (1837), Li Zhongliang, a Yi nationality, paid tribute and served as the chief minister of Yuanwailang. He is good at regular script, and once copied "University" on a white fan in small script without any mistakes. The stepmother lost her father, and Li Zhongliang went home twice to attend the funeral, which was very painful. During the Xianfeng period of Qing Dynasty, Li Zhongliang donated1.2000 yuan, which increased the permanent places of two civil servants in Conghua. Li Zhongliang served as an official in Yizhou and Zhenjiang successively. When Zhenjiang Prefecture left office, the people sent each other all the way with a plaque saying "People hope to come again".

Leaving Gong Li Temple in Renqing, I set foot on the bright blue brick road and headed west. Occasionally, there are old people sitting in the alley, sleeping soundly, or sitting by the well in a daze. Old people and villages are sealed by time and slowly grow old. There is a blue brick house with doors and windows in the middle of the village, which is called "big house" and "fixed material", which means everyone has a share. Before liberation, Macun set up a pig excrement society, and the income went to everyone's home. I used to raise pigs and shit everywhere. Pigs belong to every household, but pig excrement belongs to everyone. Pig manure is a good material for farming, but not everyone can pick it up. It is necessary to hold a meeting to bid. You may not get the quota, but you have to work hard, like double 1 1. Therefore, the miracle of "raising pigs and other dung" often occurs in the village. The dung collector stared at the pig's ass with the fat in one hand and the clip in the other, as if it were not pig dung but golden eggs. After leaving the hotel, I walked to the westernmost end of the village and stopped in front of an arched gatehouse. There are yellow banana and small vegetable garden in front of the gatehouse. There is a well in front of the gatehouse, which has been sealed and buried. Xiang Bo said that in the past, there was a chain at the wellhead to lock the dragon in the well. The gatehouse is only one person high, and the wall bricks are half a meter thick. Through the gatehouse, there are several dangerous buildings with blue bricks, and the weeds have disappeared in the roadway. Xiang Bo said that this is the "gatehouse management", also known as "West Garden" and "Inner paddock", and the whole paddock is surrounded by village walls. In my eyes, the gatehouse tube is low and inconspicuous, but it seems to be a "secret hole" with 800 years of secrets of Macun.

Gong was born in Ma Yixin Pool in the southwest corner, but his ancestral hall is far away in Ma Sanlian Pool in the northeast corner, spanning the whole Ma Village. Taibi Gong Li Temple is the largest ancient building in Macun, which was built in Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the 11th year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (186 1). Its fate has always been closely linked with education. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was used as a temporary school building in Conghua Middle School. It was converted into Macun Primary School in 1950s and Macun Kindergarten in 1980s. The ancestral hall faces south, with five rooms and three entrances. Huli wall dragon boat ridge, door bearing four octagonal pillars. Two big wooden doors at the main entrance are painted with blue paint, and the words "Macun Kindergarten" are written on the door plaque. Tsuguko's sculpture under the bucket beam is gorgeous: the unicorn roars under the bamboo, the deer in the forest turns around, the dragon in the sea turns the waves, and the peony crane looks auspicious. There is a four-column and three-hole blue brick archway between the first and second patios, and the current address is the kindergarten activity place. Entering Erjin, it is a hall with eight columns and seventeen frames. Drum-shaped red sandstone column base, a big column folded by one person, was painted blue and lost its original appearance. Third, 1968 Macun Primary School was demolished when it was expanded, and the ancestral hall timber was sold to Guangzhou Shipyard. The original venue is part of the school playground. There is a 300-year-old Pu Shu on the playground, and there is a parasitic banyan on the top of the tree. Presumably, the backyard of the ancestral temple was once a scene of trees, birds and songs. But this situation no longer exists, and the teaching building is surrounded by lonely old trees.
