Have some enterprises in Wen 'an County, Langfang City, Hebei Province been quantified and accountable?

On the evening of 24th, the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China announced the first case of quantitative accountability for the comprehensive control of air pollution in autumn and winter of 217-218 in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas. Some enterprises in Wen 'an County, Langfang City, Hebei Province failed to implement the production requirements of peak-shifting in heating season, and the county magistrate of Wen 'an County was "quantified and accountable".

The person in charge of the Environmental Supervision Bureau of the Ministry of Environmental Protection pointed out that the incident was of a bad nature, which seriously violated the requirements of the Action Plan for Comprehensive Control of Air Pollution in Autumn and Winter of 217-218 in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and its Surrounding Areas. It was the first case in which the Ministry of Environmental Protection verified that the main responsibility of the local government for environmental quality was not fulfilled during the intensive supervision of air pollution prevention and control in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and its surrounding areas in 217-218. According to relevant regulations, the main leaders and relevant personnel of the county party committee and county government with leadership responsibilities should be investigated.

As required, Langfang City gave Yao Yuntao, the county head of Wen 'an County with leadership responsibility, an administrative demerit, and Li Jianguo, the deputy head of Wen 'an County, a severe administrative demerit, in accordance with the Provisions on Quantifying Accountability for the Action of Comprehensive Control of Air Pollution in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and Surrounding Areas in Autumn and Winter of 217-218. Du Jianli, director of the Environmental Protection Institute of Zhaogezhuang Town, Wen 'an County, was given administrative demerits; Wang Song, director of the Environmental Protection Bureau, Shi Guomin, director of the government of Zhaogezhuang Town, and Li Jianqing, the armed minister of Zhaogezhuang Town, were given administrative demerits; Zhu Guodong, director of the Environmental Protection Bureau of Wen 'an County, and Wang Zhen, mayor of Zhaogezhuang Town, were given administrative warnings. Three responsible persons of relevant enterprises in Wen 'an County were dealt with.
