Ma Jinpu's Human Geography

There are many historical place names and cultural relics in Ma Jinpu town, and each place name and cultural relic in the town reveals rich historical details. Ma Jinpu was originally named "Ma Pujun" and "Ma Junbao" because it was once the place where the cavalry was stationed in Yuan and Ming Dynasties, and later changed its current name. Place names such as Zhongwei, Zuosuo, Zuo Wei, Daying and Xiaoying all indicate that there were garrisons in these places in the past. The original name of Liangwangshan is Luozangshan (Yi-Chinese mixed language), which means the mountain where tigers are hidden (Yi people call tigers "Luo"). Located 8 kilometers east of Huacheng, it is Chenggong County, Chengjiang.

The boundary mountain of the county. At an altitude of 2820 meters, it is the highest among the mountains near Dianchi Lake. Because Liang Wang was stationed here in the Yuan Dynasty, later generations renamed it Liangshan, Damon. Liangwangshan Mountain is undulating, with overlapping peaks and lush foliage. Good vegetation, forest coverage rate of 70%. In summer and autumn, the peak is shrouded in clouds, or white clouds wrap around the mountainside; In spring, the mountains are full of flowers and the whole mountain is like a brocade. It is called "Liang Zhao Feng Yu", "Baiyun Zhao Yu" and "Luozang Autumn Color". Climbing the main peak, "all the other mountains look short in the sky." And the spring city has a panoramic view; "One mountain and three seas", the scenery of three lakes (Dianchi Lake, Fuxian Lake and Yangzonghai) is vivid.

Huacheng Chuanxin Pavilion was built in the fifth year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1879), covering an area of 99.96 square meters. It was donated by the villagers of Guihua 24 Village and located in the center of Huacheng Old Street. It is also called Kuixing Pavilion, because there is a Kuixing statue in the pavilion. The heart-piercing pavilion is tall and majestic, with exquisite shape. The main building is a pyramid-shaped roof brick-wood structure with triple eaves and four corners, with a height of 18m, a length of 10.2m and a width of 9.8m, which is basically square. There are glazed tiles on the roof, birds and animals in the house, cornices at the four corners of the roof and two bells hanging. Its architectural technology is wonderful, which fully shows the diligence and wisdom of the ancient working people. It is the representative work of the existing ancient buildings in Ma Jinpu Township. 1986 in may, huacheng chuanxin pavilion was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit by Chenggong county people's government.
