Guilin University of Aeronautics and Astronautics is located in the historical and cultural city of Guilin. College is an institution of higher learning jointly established by the central and local governments. Selected as the first batch of new engineering research and practice projects and national professional construction sites of the Ministry of Education. Guangxi is a first-class discipline (training) construction institution, focusing on engineering, covering the coordinated development of science, engineering, management, literature and art.

It is also the only college in Guangxi with an aerospace undergraduate major.
