China has several major railway hub cities.

1 Beijing, the capital of China, is the center of national railways. Zhengzhou, known as the "train-driven city", is an important central hub of the national railway network and the intercity transportation center of the Central Plains. The largest transportation hub in the west of Lanzhou, connecting Gansu, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Qinghai-Tibet, Xinjiang, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia, has a very important strategic position. 14 Chengdu, the land of abundance, is one of the intercity transportation centers of Chengdu-Chongqing, with railway intersections such as Shanghai-Chengdu, Lanzhou-Kunming, Cheng Gui, Baocheng, Xicheng, Chengdu-Chongqing and Chengmianle, and planned Chengdu-Golmud, Sichuan-Tibet (Chengdu-Bomi) and other routes.

15 Golmud is a transportation hub in Qinghai-Tibet region, connecting Gansu, New Zealand, Qinghai and Tibet, and its strategic position is very important. There are railways such as Qinghai-Tibet, Dunge and Geku (Golmud-Korla), and the Chengdu-Golmud line is planned.

16 The important transportation hubs in the northeast of Harbin include Jingha Passenger Dedicated Line, Qi Mu Passenger Dedicated Line (Qiqihar-Mudanjiang), Mansui (Manzhouli-Suifenhe), Hashen (Harbin-Jilin-Shenyang), Haval (Harbin-Fuyuan), Hajia (Harbin-Jiamusi) and Hahei (Harbin-Heihe).
