What is Kohlberg's three-stage six-level formula?

Formula: punish the utilitarian custom before, obey the law and be a good boy. Finally, the principle of contract is expounded.

Kohlberg divides moral knowledge into three different development levels: pre-customization level, customization level and post-customization level. Each level has two different stages, a total of six stages. Regarding the age division corresponding to the stage, most children under 9 years old and a few teenagers are at the pre-custom moral level, while most teenagers and adults are at the custom level.

Post-customization level generally appears after the age of 20, and only a few people can reach it.

Kohlberg's research methods:

Kohlberg's research method is called "moral dilemma story method", and one of the most classic stories is "Hans stealing medicine". The main plot of the story is that Hans' wife is seriously ill, and the doctor thinks that there is only one medicine that can save her, and this medicine can only be prepared by a pharmacist, and it is very expensive. Hans tried many methods, but he couldn't get the medicine. He borrows money everywhere and doesn't borrow it.

He asked the pharmacist, and the pharmacist was indifferent. If he doesn't get the medicine again, his wife won't live that night, so Hans wants to steal the medicine at night. After the story is finished, the researcher will ask the children under study: Should Hans steal the medicine? Children at different stages of moral development will give different answers, and their reasons are the basis for researchers to make judgments.
