1, Anhui Normal University (AHNU) is the earliest institution of higher learning in Anhui Province. Co-founded by the Anhui Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), it has been selected into the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" and "Excellent Teacher Training Plan". It is one of the first four universities supported by Anhui Higher Education Revitalization Plan "High-level University Construction Project with Local Characteristics" and "High-level University Award Fund Project". It has the right of self-study for associate professors and the qualification of recommending graduate students without examination, and is also a comprehensive provincial key university under key construction in Anhui Province.
