Why don't some enterprises like to recruit the backbone of the student union?

Share a short story about recruitment in our company:

That year, I was recruiting in the campus of Harbin Institute of Technology. I remember that the company recruited more than 400 people, most of whom were technical research and development positions, and some were management students. All management positions require graduate students and related majors.

There was a young man who impressed me the most in the recruitment process of that year, and I still remember his story until now:

Xiao Wang, a graduate student, is the president of the Student Union. Pre-evaluation and job matching degree reached more than 95%. When there was no interview, we all said that this young man was only employed by our company and could do public relations, business management and planning. Several positions were planned for him, and we found a talent, a really excellent talent.

During the interview, Xiao Wang took a lot of information and applied for the management students of the company to train senior management talents in the future. A thick dozen, when I handed me the information, I carefully read it in detail to see how colorful the campus life of this outstanding young man is. CET-6, fluent in listening and speaking in English interview, with almost straight A's, almost every academic year, there are scholarships and various excellent student certificates. More importantly, there is an autobiography, which records his study and life in the whole university, organizes various school activities, opens up markets and starts his own business. At present, it is profitable, and it is also excellent in other aspects, such as speeches and musical instruments.

Xiao Wang is definitely a talent and an excellent talent. He can shine everywhere, and his future is limitless. But when we finally decided not to admit it, we were in a dilemma. We cherish talents very much, but we didn't hire Xiao Wang in the end.

Later, when we informed him of the result, he said, "I am looking forward to this position, and I also agree with the company's values." I believe that I will give the company a surprise in the future. " I told him that it's not that you are bad, it's that you are too good, and talents will be buried in our posts in the future, which will hinder his future development, so find a job that suits you.

As human resource managers of enterprises, we have always regarded the matching between people and posts as the primary criterion for talent development, so we turned down an excellent college student this time.

Perhaps from the story of my recruitment, you will know why the enterprise does not recruit the backbone of the student union.
