Major port areas

Shantou Port has seven ports: Laogang, Zhuchi Port, Mashan Port, Guang 'ao Port, Chaoyang Port, Chenghai Port and Nan 'ao Port.

With slight sediment deposition, relatively stable geological structure and moderate distance from the city center, the port area is the only natural deep-water port in eastern Guangdong. The 10 m isobath in the bay is about 1 ~ 1.5 km from the shore, and the natural water depth of -20 m outside the bay is about 3 km from the shore, which has excellent water depth conditions for building a wharf with a tonnage of over 300,000 tons. At present, the port area has begun to take shape. Four1-60,000-ton wharves have been built, two 50,000-ton wharves are under construction, and a 50,000-ton deep-water waterway will be implemented next year. The planned land area of the port area is 13.6 square kilometers, and the planned coastline is 10 kilometers, and 39 berths can be built. It will become a comprehensive port area, mainly responsible for the transportation of containers, bulk cargo, petrochemicals, liquefied gas and liquid chemicals near the ocean. The planned long-term production capacity will reach 65438+300 million tons.

The sediment deposition in Chaoyang Port Area is slight and the geological structure is stable. 10 m isobath is about 400 ~ 800 m away from the shore, and the water depth condition is superior. There are 1 5000-ton multipurpose berths, 500-ton multipurpose berths and 1000-ton oil terminals. At present, some large-scale projects have been planned to settle in this port area. For example, Huaneng Shantou Haimen Power Plant has settled near Longtoushan and plans to start construction this year. CNOOC LNG project is also initially located in this port area. The port area is planned to become a multi-functional comprehensive local port, providing services for the transportation of containers, coal, bulk cargo and petrochemical products along the coast and offshore.
