The difference between farmers and landlords

The main difference between them is that the conditions for their emergence and development are different.

Landlords profit from leasing land, and they do not engage in farming themselves or interfere with tenant farmers' farming. The mode of production organization is that land is divided and leased to tenants for independent cultivation, and land production aims at meeting their own consumption.

Farmers are organizers, investors, designers, directors and managers of agricultural production, and the mode of production organization is large-scale intensive production of family members and hired agricultural workers. The purpose of land production is to make a profit by selling it in the market.
