Standard Beijing time proofreading

The proofreading of Beijing standard time is taken from the National Time Service Center.

China has a vast territory, spanning five time zones: East Five, East Six, East Seven, East Eight and East Nine from west to north. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), the time zone of Dongba, where the capital Beijing is located, was adopted as standard time, which became Beijing time. Our standard Beijing time was updated synchronously with the standard time taken from the National Time Service Center to ensure the accuracy of Beijing time now.

Beijing time is taken from Dongba International Time Zone, which is the local time of East longitude 120. Beijing time is reported by nine cesium atomic clocks and two hydrogen maser groups located in Lintong, Shaanxi Province, the geometric center of China's territory, through precise comparison and calculation, and is compared with time service departments around the world in real time through satellites.

The origin of Beijing time

Beijing time originated in Xi 'an. The National Time Service Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in Lintong District, Xi, Shaanxi Province. The time it gives is called Beijing time. Beijing time is the local time of east longitude 120, so the local time of east longitude 120 is about 14 minutes earlier than Beijing local time.

Beijing is named "Beijing time" because it is located in the East Eighth District of the international time zone, which is 8 hours different from Greenwich Mean Time (UTC) (that is, Beijing time = UTC +8 hours). The headquarters of National Time Service Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in Lintong District, Xi, Shaanxi Province. The Time Service Department (Part II) of the National Time Service Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences is located in pucheng county, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Although the two places are in Dongqi District, Beijing time is used uniformly throughout the country, and it is Beijing time, not local time, that is responsible for publishing.
