Core-spun yarn, also known as composite yarn or coated yarn, is a new type of yarn composed of two or more fibers. The original core-spun yarn is a short-fiber and short-fiber core-spun yarn developed with cotton fiber as the skin and polyester staple yarn as the core. Its main purpose is to strengthen cotton canvas, keep the water repellency of cotton fiber when it swells in water, and make use of the tensile, tear and shrinkage resistance of polyester fiber when it gets wet in the rain. At present, the core-spun yarn has developed into many types, which can be classified into three categories: short fiber and short fiber core-spun yarn, chemical fiber filament and short fiber core-spun yarn, and chemical fiber filament and chemical fiber filament core-spun yarn. At present, many core-spun yarns are generally a kind of core-spun yarn with unique structure, which is made of chemical fiber filaments as the core yarn and wrapped with various short fibers. The common chemical fiber filaments of its core are polyester filament, nylon filament and spandex filament. Outsourcing staple fiber includes cotton, polyester cotton, polyester, nylon, acrylic fiber and wool fiber.
