Hunan Jiuyi Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher education institution managed by the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and the Yongzhou Municipal People's Government, and merged with Hunan Xiaoxiang Technician College. The predecessor of the college is Jiuyishan College founded in 1980. In March 2005, it was approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government to formally establish Hunan Jiuyi Vocational and Technical College. In May 2010, it was approved by the Provincial People's Government and converted from private to public and cooperated with Xiaoxiang Technician. Colleges merged to run schools.
