What are the good private international schools in Shenzhen?

International schools are all private, and the difference mainly depends on whether they have obtained certification from the Ministry of Education.

First of all, let me take stock of all the authentic international schools in Shenzhen. Don’t be surprised, can there be fake international schools?

Well, to put it simply, an unauthentic international school uses foreign teaching materials, has foreign teachers, and teaches in English or Chinese and English. But... students are not restricted to being foreign.

What does this have to do with anything? You may say, I only care that my children are taught formal courses by foreigners.

The relationship is huge. Have you ever noticed that when those wealthy children study abroad, if they still hang out in Chinese circles, even though they have also received foreign education, their spoken English has not improved much. The friends and language environment around them are very important.

The authentic international schools I am talking about are schools that have been certified by the Ministry of Education and only accept foreign children. The list is as follows:

Shenzhen Shekou International School (SIS), Shenzhen Shekou Kesai International School (QSI), Shenzhen Shenzhen American International School, Shenzhen Nanshan International School, Shenzhen Basis International School, Shenzhen (Nanshan) Sino-Canadian School, Shenzhen Korean International School, Shenzhen Japanese School.

Except for Japan and South Korea, the academic systems mentioned above are basically based on American courses. It will be good to connect with American universities in the future. Their tuition fees start at 100,000 yuan per year, and the average level is around 200,000 yuan. In addition, some have to pay admission funds or sponsorship fees of more than 100,000 yuan.

There are many other schools that are not accredited by the Ministry of Education, but the quality is uneven and needs to be carefully identified. The list is as follows. If you want to go to a university based on the British system, it is recommended that you consider SJTU.
