Handboards can be divided into several categories according to the materials used.

Hand boards can be divided into plastic hand boards, silicone hand boards, metal hand boards and putty hand boards according to the manufacturing materials: (1) Plastic hand boards: the raw materials are plastic, mainly the hand boards of some plastic products, such as televisions, monitors and telephones.

(2) Silicone hand board: Its raw material is silica gel, which is mainly used to show the design and modeling of products, such as cars, mobile phones, toys, handicrafts and daily necessities.

(3) Metal hand plate: Its raw materials are aluminum-magnesium alloy and other metal materials, mainly hand plates of some high-end products, such as notebook computers, advanced single player, MP3 players, CD players and so on.

(4) Oil clay hand board: Its raw material is oil sludge, commonly known as clay plastic hand board, which is mainly used for product design and development. In the early stage of product development, clay sculptors used sludge as a model according to their own imagination or pictures, and then determined the appearance according to the sludge model, but at present, the sludge hand board has been replaced by freeform.
