Xiaoshan development zone has achieved fruitful results in attracting investment.

Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone regards the project as its life, and the achievements of attracting investment are constantly expanding. By June 38, 2007+February, 750 enterprises had been allowed to enter the zone, including more than 450 foreign-funded enterprises from 26 countries and regions, with a total investment of US$ 4.9 billion, contracted foreign investment of US$ 2.65 billion, registered capital of US$ 3 billion, and large projects with an investment of over US$ 0.5 billion/kloc-0.50. American General Electric, Swedish Ericsson, Swiss Albany, Italian Fiat, German ZF, Japanese Marubeni, Itochu, Aisin Seiki, Yamaha, and well-known domestic and foreign enterprises in Taiwan Province Province, such as Zhonghua Chemical Fiber, Youjia Machinery, Lishan Group, China National Heavy Duty Truck, Wahaha, Youth Automobile, Gio Automobile and Hanbo International, have invested in the area, forming companies focusing on electronic communication, auto parts, precision machinery and medical care.

On behalf of Xiaoshan People's Government, the Administrative Committee of Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone fully exercises the administrative functions of the Development Zone and provides one-stop services for project approval, industrial and commercial registration, engineering construction and employee recruitment, with simple procedures and high efficiency. There are also customs, commodity inspection, finance and insurance services in this area. The Regulations of Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone promulgated by the Standing Committee of Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress provides legal protection for investors. At the same time, the development zone implements the relevant policies of the state on economic and technological development zones and coastal open cities, and enjoys preferential treatment in all aspects.
