Is it the same for cold spraying zinc, hot galvanizing, plastic spraying and painting?

1. The difference between processes:

Cold spraying zinc: Cold spraying zinc is to hang the workpiece which is also degreased and derusted, showing no pollution and no penetration, on the cathode in a special electroplating bath, with zinc as the anode. In the method of connecting DC power supply, zinc ions on the anode migrate to the cathode and discharge on the cathode, so that the workpiece is plated with a zinc layer. Suitable for repair work (that is, in the process of repair work, only the damaged parts of the protected steel surface can be repainted as long as the surface is repaired). Cold spraying zinc technology is used for anticorrosion of various steel products and structures.

Hot spraying zinc: Hot spraying zinc, also known as hot dipping zinc, is a method of degreasing and derusting steel workpieces, presenting a clean and wet surface, and immediately immersing them in the plating solution heated in advance to melt zinc, thus forming a zinc layer on the workpiece surface.

Plastic spraying: plastic spraying, that is, electrostatic powder spraying, uses electrostatic generator to charge plastic powder. Plastic powder is a kind of powder coating, which is a new type of 100% solid powder coating, and contains no solvent. It has two categories: thermoplastic powder coatings and thermosetting powder coatings. The coating is made of special resin, pigments and fillers, curing agent and other additives in a certain proportion, and then it is hot extruded, crushed and screened. They are stable in storage at room temperature, coated by electrostatic spraying or fluidized bed impregnation, and then heated, baked, melted and solidified to form a smooth and bright permanent coating, thus achieving the purpose of decoration and anticorrosion. Commonly used, such as: shelves, cabinets, workstations, logistics storage and transportation equipment.

Spray painting: Spray painting is a method of using air pressure to disperse into uniform and fine droplets through a spray gun and apply them to the surface of the coated object. Water-resistant, oil-resistant and quick-drying, used for painting cars, airplanes, wood, leather, etc. This substance is toxic and has certain effects on the body. Different brands of spray paint have different toxicity due to different component contents. Pay special attention to safety when using, and avoid inhalation and skin contact.

2. The difference between anti-corrosion:

Galvanizing has better corrosion resistance and can be hot sprayed with zinc; It can also be cold-sprayed zinc paint. Double lion cold spraying zinc paint can achieve the anti-corrosion effect of hot spraying zinc paint. Before cold spraying zinc coating, surface treatment, oil removal and rust removal should be done well, preferably sand washing and shot blasting, and then spraying, so that the steel surface can be in direct contact with cold spraying zinc coating, and the role of zinc powder of cold spraying zinc coating can be brought into full play.

Spraying and painting, the wear and corrosion resistance of spraying is better than that of painting.
