A long time ago, did Pingxiang belong to Hunan Province?

Pingxiang, located in the west of Jiangxi, has a long history. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Pingxiang was the territory of Chu. After the reunification of Qin, Pingxiang was placed under the jurisdiction of Changsha County. Emperor gaozu changed Zhang Yu county to Yichun county in six years. At the end of the Three Kingdoms, in order to meet the needs of the separatist regime and strengthen the resistance to gold, Sun Hao and Emperor Wudi in the second year of Baoding (A.D. 267) divided parts of the county, Luling county and Changsha county into another county, which was responsible for land transportation in central Hunan and central Jiangxi, and set aside parts of Yichun county to establish Pingxiang county, which was subordinate to Yichun, Yongxin, Xinyu and Pingdu counties together. This was the beginning of the establishment of Pingxiang County, which lasted for more than 1,700 years.
