First, I asked them about the graduation destination and the preparation of comprehensive quality. They said that most graduates choose employment places in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shenzhen and other developed coastal areas, while the proportion of choosing central and western regions is very small. Because they think that going to the most economically developed areas will give them better wages, more room for development and better realization of their values and outlook on life. In the process of preparing for employment, they think that they should first improve their professional skills and try to get more certificates related to the job they are applying for, which will be a stepping stone to the job. Secondly, we should pay attention to the cultivation of other qualities, because enterprises pay attention not only to professional achievements, but also to all-round talents. One more skill and one more quality can greatly improve the efficiency of enterprises.
Secondly, we discussed the access to employment information channels. They told me that most students prefer campus recruitment and job fairs; There are also a few students who try online recruitment, newspapers and telephone job hunting. In addition, introduction through acquaintances is also a widely recognized way, because the employment competition is so fierce now, if you can introduce through acquaintances, the probability of being selected will increase obviously. In addition, they also analyzed several common recruitment enterprises with me: state-owned enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises, foreign-funded enterprises and private enterprises. The so-called state-owned enterprises are state-owned enterprises and state-controlled enterprises, and the most important assets in state-owned enterprises are state-owned assets. Generally, Chinese-foreign joint ventures, Chinese-foreign cooperative ventures and foreign-funded enterprises established in China are collectively referred to as foreign-funded enterprises. Among them, a foreign-funded enterprise refers to an enterprise established in China in accordance with the laws of China with all its capital invested by foreign investors. All non-public enterprises are collectively referred to as private enterprises. As graduates majoring in English, foreign companies are still the most favored employment units in the minds of graduates. In addition, government agencies are increasingly favored by many graduates, as can be seen from the increasingly popular "civil servant fever" in recent years.
Thirdly, the seniors also explained to me some matters needing attention in job hunting.
First, we should adjust our employment mentality and establish a correct employment outlook. Don't follow the crowd, everyone wants to run to the big city. We should consider it according to our own actual situation. Because there is convergence in the choice of employment areas and the nature of employment units among college students today, "economically developed areas, high salaries, foreign companies or government agencies" is still the first choice for most graduates. However, in fact, few college students can realize this desire. After all, the positions that big cities can provide are still limited. Therefore, we should not focus too much on the choice of employment areas, the nature of employment units, salary expectations, etc., but should put our eyes on small and medium-sized cities appropriately. Because those places are less competitive than developed cities, and local governments and enterprises respect talents, which can provide them with broad and far-reaching development space.
Second, do your resume carefully. Resume should avoid the general lengthy content, because when an enterprise chooses a resume, if the length is too long and there is more irrelevant information, the probability of being selected is very small. Moreover, there must be no spelling, grammatical errors and improper wording in the resume, and the names of the company, the recipient and the position are wrongly written, otherwise it will directly lead to the loss of the opportunity to apply. In addition, you should clearly show your strengths and weaknesses on your resume.
Third, don't exaggerate your abilities during the interview. The purpose of the enterprise interview is to further understand and evaluate the candidates' professional abilities on the basis of resumes. If the interview process shows that the personal expertise and quality reflected in the resume do not match, the interview is likely to fail.
Fourth, we should appropriately increase our internship experience. "Relevant internship experience" is the second largest consideration for enterprises to recruit talents, second only to professional ability. We should make full use of the holidays to go to the enterprise posts related to this major for internship. Enterprises attach great importance to work experience, so internship experience will fill the gap of fresh graduates to some extent.
Finally, we discussed the employment agreement and employment dispatch certificate. They told me that the employment agreement is an employment agreement signed between graduates and employers. In triplicate, which shall come into effect after being signed and sealed by graduates, training units and employers, and each party holds one copy. After signing the employment agreement, return it to the school, keep one for yourself and one for the company. The school will handle the dispatch card according to the agreement you returned. The dispatch card will indicate the name of the company you want to go to, take the dispatch card to the employer, and start calculating your length of service from the day you hand it over to the company. It is an agreement to guarantee the interests and rights of three parties. The employment dispatch card is issued by the Graduate Employment Guidance Center of the Education Department. It is an important material for graduates to report to the employing unit when they are employed, and to apply for pension insurance and medical insurance accounts after reporting. At the same time, the transfer of registered permanent residence and the transfer of files also require dispatch cards. In addition, they also reminded us to be honest and trustworthy after signing the Employment Agreement, and not to break the contract easily without special circumstances. If there are special reasons to breach the contract, it can be handled in accordance with legal procedures, otherwise it will cause unnecessary losses.
Through this survey, I have learned a lot about employment, and at the same time, I know better how to face this cruel social competition. I think, no matter how severe the situation is, as long as we recognize the facts, treat them positively and prepare carefully, there will be room for us to display our talents in society!
