In 2004, Sijiqing Township has been changed from a township to a town. There is a street office of Sijiqing Town below, and Dongran Village is under the jurisdiction of Sijiqing Town Government. Sijiqing Commune was established in August 1958, and Sijiqing Township was established in April 1984.
