Yangjiang is a prefecture-level city on the southwest coast of Guangdong Province, adjacent to Jiangmen Enping, Taishan, and Xilian Maoming. The key point in western Guangdong.

The historical development of Yangjiang City:

1. In October 1949, Yangjiang was liberated. At this time, Laojiang City was already a dilapidated urban area. The newly established People's Government mobilized cadres and residents to perform voluntary labor to carry out urban maintenance work.

2. In 1953, the bumpy Nanen Road, the main street of Jiangcheng, was paved with simple Sanhe soil.

3. In 1957, Nan'en Road, Longjin Road and Taifu Road were paved with cement roads.
