Where is Yangjiang?

Yangjiang is a prefecture-level city on the southwest coast of Guangdong Province, adjacent to Jiangmen Enping, Taishan, and Xilian Maoming. The key point in western Guangdong.

That is, between 21?28'45" and 22?41'02" north latitude, 111?16'35" and 112?21'51" east longitude, 112.5 kilometers long from east to west, and 132.75 kilometers from north to south. The land area is 7955.9 square kilometers, of which hilly area accounts for 25.6%, mountain area accounts for 42.0%, and plain area accounts for 21.8%.

The terrain slopes from north to south, surrounded by mountains and sea. It is surrounded by Tianlu Mountain barrier in the northeast and Yunwu Mountain in the northwest. The highest peak in the territory is Ehuangzhang in Wangfu Mountains, with an altitude of 1,338 meters. The longest river is Moyang River, with a total length of 199 kilometers, running through the city from north to south and flowing into the South China Sea from north to south.

Yangjiang is located south of the Tropic of Cancer and has a subtropical climate with abundant rainfall and a mild climate. In 2016, the annual average temperature was 23.0 degrees Celsius, and the annual rainfall was generally 2379.0 mm. The historical development of Yangjiang City:

1. In October 1949, Yangjiang was liberated. At this time, Laojiang City was already a dilapidated urban area. The newly established People's Government mobilized cadres and residents to perform voluntary labor to carry out urban maintenance work.

2. In 1953, the bumpy Nanen Road, the main street of Jiangcheng, was paved with simple Sanhe soil.

3. In 1957, Nan'en Road, Longjin Road and Taifu Road were paved with cement roads.

4. In 1958, an asphalt road with a length of 650 meters and a width of 34 meters was built from Dongfeng Road to the bus station.

5. From 1977 to 1986, Nan'en Road, Longjin Road and Taifu Road were successively expanded and repaired.
