1949 Since liberation, the organizational structure of Wanzhou District Public Security Bureau has undergone many changes:

In March of the same year, the "Public Security Department of Wanxian District Administrative Supervision Department in East Sichuan" was established, with Cao as the director and the office located in Courthouse Street (where the former Kuomintang court was located). After the merger of East Sichuan and Sichuan Province, it was changed to "Public Security Department of Wanxian Commissioner's Office in Sichuan Province".

During the Cultural Revolution, the Public Prosecution Law was smashed, and the Wanxian District Public Prosecution Law Arms Control Committee and Wanxian District Revolutionary Committee People's Defence Group of the China People's Liberation Army were established. In the late period of the Cultural Revolution, 1973 was restored as "Wanxian District Public Security Bureau of Sichuan Province", and changed to "Wanxian District Public Security Bureau of Sichuan Province" at the end of the same year, and 198 1 was changed to "Wanxian District Public Security Bureau of Sichuan Province", which governed Wanxian city, Wanxian, Zhongxian, Kaixian, Liangping, Yunyang, fengjie county and so on.

1993, Wanxian District Public Security Bureau was renamed as "Wanxian City Public Security Bureau of Sichuan Province", which governs 3 districts of Longbao, Tiancheng and Wuqiao, and 8 county public security bureaus of Zhongxian, Kaixian, Liangping, Yunyang, Fengjie, Wushan, Wuxi and Chengkou.

1996 after Chongqing was directly under the central government, the original Wanxian city was changed to Wanzhou Immigration Development Zone and Wanzhou District. In order to meet the needs of this work, the public security organs set up "Chongqing Wanzhou Immigration Development Zone Public Security Bureau" and "Chongqing Wanzhou District Public Security Bureau", with two brands as a team. The former manages the public security organs of Kaixian, Yunyang, Zhongxian, fengjie county, Wushan and Wuxi (Liangping and Chengkou belong to Wanxian).

Since September 1 2000, the Public Security Bureau of Wanzhou Immigration Development Zone has been abolished, and the Longbao, Tiancheng and Wuqiao Public Security Bureaus under Wanzhou District Public Security Bureau, the Public Security Bureau directly under Shuishang, the Airport Public Security Bureau and the Jiangnan New District Public Security Bureau have been retained. The six counties that were originally managed have been separated from the escrow relationship and directly managed by Chongqing Public Security Bureau.
