The Consumer Council warned that "Didou acne disappears rapidly".

This cosmetic was found to contain prohibited chloramphenicol in Anhui.

(Reporter Shang Qi correspondent Shen Xiao) The Consumer Council of Guangdong Province issued an urgent reminder yesterday that consumers had better stop buying "Didou Acne-removing Fast-disappearing" cosmetics.

Recently, the cosmetics of "Sweet Bean Powder Fast-disappearing" was ordered by Anhui Provincial Health Department to stop selling immediately because it was found to contain the banned substance "chloramphenicol" in the Hygienic Standard for Cosmetics. The product identification that contains prohibited substances is "Didou Powder Instant" produced by China Fujian Quanzhou Hengquan Cosmetics Co., Ltd. (batch number 0400 1 1, production date 040229A).

According to reports, chloramphenicol is an amide alcohol antibiotic with broad-spectrum antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. However, chloramphenicol has serious side effects on human body, which will destroy the normal flora on the skin surface and lead to adverse reactions such as aplastic anemia, rash, instantaneous allergic reaction and exfoliative dermatitis. It is a banned substance in cosmetics.

The Consumer Council of Guangdong Province said that it will continue to pay close attention to this incident, and at the same time remind consumers to suspend the purchase and use of problematic cosmetics, so as to avoid further damage to safety and health rights, and properly keep relevant shopping vouchers in case of complaints to relevant functional departments or the Consumer Council.
