Huarui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Huarui) is the first joint venture between China and Sweden. A joint venture contract was signed in 1982 and commercial production began in 1987, with a total investment of 4510 million dollars. In 1999, Germany's Fresenius Kabi became Huarui's foreign shareholder, owning 51% of the shares; Huarui's Chinese shareholders are China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation and its subsidiaries China National Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd. and China National Pharmaceutical Foreign Trade Corporation , owns 49 shares.
