A. Examples of living in the present

Reading Shi Tiesheng--Living in the present

Reading Shi Tiesheng's prose requires one to hold the book and quietly Aftertaste.

The thoughts and emotions in prose are often closest to the author in life. Every word is what the author has experienced in life and is the crystallization of thousands of thoughts in his heart. When Shi Tiesheng lived to the most arrogant age, fate suddenly caused him to have his legs disabled, so he suffered, resented, and thought in a deserted but not decaying garden--the Temple of Earth.

In that garden, he finally thought through it: he understood that death is something that cannot be missed no matter how much it is delayed, a festival that will surely come. When reading his article "Me and the Temple of Earth", I also followed the ups and downs of his heart and was moved by his thinking.

Shi Tiesheng is an admirable writer. His writing is integrated with his life, telling the meaning of life before death in the form of words. He talks about family, friendship, and love. And it can question the ultimate meaning of life. He can shape him and the world for us in the perfect combination of emotion and reason, but he stubbornly believes that it is us who shape him and the world.

The family affection, friendship and love in his works moved me deeply. When recalling his mother, he said: I really want to warn all boys who have grown up not to be as stubborn as their mother, not to mention shy. I already understand but I am too late. This is his sincere regret and sadness after discovering his mother's suffering and greatness. His mother was great and persevering. She worked hard for her disabled child. I think if we live unluckily, our unhappiness will also be doubled in our mother. But here is another sad fact: our relatives are not always around to take care of us and love us. If they are still alive, it is really a blessing for us: we can still take care of them and honor them. Reduce the regret of not being able to repay your loved ones.

For the mother, we can read a trace of regret in his words. But he cherishes and appreciates friendship. When Shi Tiesheng was twenty-one years old, he was admitted to the Friendship Hospital. After he turned twenty-one, he was carried out of the hospital by his friends. He is not dead, nor can he leave. He later joked that his ability to always live in friendship may be related to the fact that he was admitted to the Friendship Hospital at the age of 21. Indeed, during those difficult years, his friends gave him immense help. He loved his friends and appreciated them.

It is undoubtedly enviable for a person to have sincere family ties and friendships. Regarding love, Shi Tiesheng said that it is the symbol of the beautiful star in the Milky Way. Indeed, love is beautiful. I think: Because of this, everyone desires to be nourished by love. Love should be sweet. But he also said that nothing can prove love, and love is the proof of loneliness. But loneliness is not loneliness or loneliness, nor is it emptiness and boredom. A lonely heart must be a full heart, so full that it wants to overflow and rush out, and it longs for someone to respond to it, accept it, and understand it. On the road of love, what is eternal is neither loneliness nor reunion, but prayer. Maybe, he is right. Love should not be an excuse for loneliness, loneliness, emptiness or boredom. Love is the search and fusion of two souls, and it is the most sacred. Therefore, only by advocating love can we pursue love.

The family affection, friendship and love written by Shi Tiesheng not only moved me but also made me feel the beauty of life. Sanmao said: Love is like Zen, it cannot be said, it will be wrong as soon as it is said. Maybe we have to bury love deeply in the softest place in our hearts. In real life, the lotion of love overflows from the softest place in the heart. Nourish our boring life.

Perhaps life is spent in dryness and being nourished. Countless people have spent their entire lives.

However, Shi Tiesheng was not satisfied with thinking about these three emotions.

While he was igniting my longing for a better life, he suddenly asked: Where are we going? Where do we go from here? What is our purpose? Where is our joy? Where does our happiness lie? Where is our path to salvation? This ultimate torture of life plunged me into pain.

In this pain, I do see that the "future" is vast: human beings are going to perish, the earth is going to be destroyed, and the universe is heading towards heat death. This is why I feel that this is not only painful, but also extremely painful. I suddenly felt extremely painful, which made me think: I don’t want to think about it anymore, so I’d better live in the present.

Yes, live in the process, live in the moment. This is actually the same as what Shi Tiesheng told me after he thought about it! Then the answer to his question is meaningless. Because even if he didn't tell me this, I would still think so. No, if he didn't let the problem put me in great pain first, I would not be willing to live in the process of reality. I would be more likely to live in a busy and stuck-in-the-rut routine.

I don’t want to live like this. Thinking about the ultimate torture of life suddenly made me understand my unwillingness. I really don’t want to live like this. Fortunately, my life journey is not over yet. I realize this. If I think about thinking about the ultimate torture of life again in the last stage of my life, I'm afraid that I will only have the heart to think and not have the heart to live anymore. Because the future is so depressing. When it came time to interrogate the purpose, it was discovered that the process had ended. I'm afraid that regret is not just a sigh.

But there seems to be no universal standard for what the process should be like. The answer to this question probably depends on the wise and the benevolent. But for me, I understand: except for death and life, everything else in this world is trivial. As for pain in life, it cannot be avoided. In Shi Tiesheng's good luck design, he used God's right to design a life without pain, but it could not make the protagonist happy forever. Well, I have to admit and love this pain. Since pain is acknowledged, one must pursue and transcend. Yes, if the meaning of life lies in the process, then the process lies in pursuit and transcendence. If you and I dare not challenge or surpass the red line of everyone's limitations prescribed by God, then even if you are a celebrity in any field, I am an ordinary person, and perhaps ordinary people are not considered disabled, then we are Same. The pursuit and transcendence may never reach the goal, but it does constitute our whole life.

Reading Shi Tiesheng's prose made me think a lot and learned a lot. Shi Tiesheng said I can't tell you who it is, I can only tell you what I can think about me. When reading the world he created with words, I have to admit that the thoughts he gave me formed part of my world view and outlook on life. Although he said it was us who shaped him and the world. However, in the end I have to say: I cannot tell you how much of his articles I have read and how deeply I understand them.

B. Why I have experienced so many relationships. I only have the feeling of living in the moment when it comes to relationships, and I don’t have as much love for my current girlfriend as I did for my ex. Is this normal?

You seem to be too persistent. These reincarnation matters are still in the future and out of reach. We can’t prove it either, and it’s hard to say what the answer is, so I won’t talk about it or talk about it. Living in the moment means seizing the moment. Let the past be in the past, the future has not yet come, the present is the most important. Living realistically means not always fantasizing. Society is very realistic. Firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar, tea, these are the necessities of life. Real life is very cruel. We must recognize the reality clearly and not always think randomly.

C. Stories of living in the present in ancient times

Celebrity stories: living in the present

At the beginning of Emperor Xuan's accession to the throne, the following The imperial edict wanted to upgrade the "temple music" to worship Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, but unexpectedly encountered the opposition of Xia Housheng, the Guanglu doctor. The prime minister, the imperial censor and other ministers were frightened and dared to oppose the emperor's edict. Is this okay? Join forces immediately A memorial was issued to impeach Xia Housheng for his "treason". By the way, Prime Minister Shi Huangba, who refused to sign the memorial, was also reported to the emperor on the charge of "not impeaching".

So the two men were arrested and imprisoned together, sentenced to death, and awaited execution.

Xia Housheng was a famous Confucian at that time. He was especially proficient in "Shangshu". He had always been upright and would not flatter anyone. Now that he was so humiliated, he was depressed and unhappy. He thought about the emperor's lack of kindness and the impermanence of life. I can't help but feel disheartened. Fortunately, the more unjust Huang Ba was locked up with him, and there was still someone to talk to in his loneliness. Huang Ba was optimistic by nature. He had long admired Xia Housheng as a great scholar, but he had no chance to get close to him. Unexpectedly, he was imprisoned in the same cell due to an unexpected disaster. He thought to himself: "I used to be busy working every day and had no time, but now I have time, and A good teacher is right in front of you, why don't you quickly make up for this lesson?" Huang Ba told Xia Housheng that he wanted to ask for advice. Xia Housheng smiled bitterly and said: "We have all committed a capital crime and will be executed tomorrow. What is the use of reading scriptures now?" Huang Ba said: "Confucius said: "If you hear the Tao in the morning, you will die in the evening." People should live. In the present, seize the present, learn something, and have enlightenment. Today is happy, why worry about the vague tomorrow?" Xia Housheng was refreshed after hearing this, and he was deeply moved, and he immediately agreed to Huang Ba. request. From then on, the two sat on the floor. Every day, Xia Housheng carefully taught Huang Ba the Book of History, and Huang Ba listened with all his heart. The two lectured day and night with great interest, and studied to the subtle points. From time to time he would hold his hands and laugh. The prison guard came over to investigate, but he was confused as to why the two dying men were so happy.

Someone urged Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty to execute Xia Housheng and Huang Ba. Emperor Xuan sent people to the prison to investigate whether the two men were sad and repentant, and reported that they enjoyed reading every day. The face is worry-free. Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty was dissatisfied, but he also lamented that the two men were virtuous and could not bear to kill them, so the case was delayed for a long time.

Although they are in prison, Xia Housheng and Huang Ba, who are determined to live in the present, have no obstacles and nothing can restrain them. Time is no longer their enemy, because they have something to do. Two winters have passed, and they do not feel that time is long. On the contrary, they have become more and more sophisticated in their knowledge, their thoughts have improved, and their spirits have become more enriched.

One day two years later, Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty granted amnesty to the world, and Xia Housheng and Huang Ba were released from prison. However, they were not deported back to their hometowns, but were directly brought to the court, and Xia Housheng was appointed as an admonisher. The doctor stayed with the emperor, while Huang Ba became the governor of Yangzhou and was sent to serve as an official. Later, Xia Housheng became the prince's teacher with his integrity and erudition. He died at the age of ninety. In order to thank his teacher, the prince wore plain clothes for him for five days. Confucian scholars all over the world are proud of him. Huang Ba became famous throughout the world for his shrewdness, ability and outstanding political achievements. He later rose to the rank of prime minister. History books commented on him that since the establishment of the Han Dynasty, there have been many prime ministers with outstanding talents. However, when it comes to governing the people, "hegemon is the leader".

Prison was a turning point in the fate of Xia Housheng and Huang Ba. Yes, from a scholar-bureaucrat with unlimited glory to a prisoner on death row in a prison, this turning point is too big, too big for people to adapt to. But who can say that this prison sentence is not the starting point of their new life? The sound of reading came from that dark and terrifying place. It made them understand that the meaning of life is to live in the present. Otherwise, how could Xia Housheng have the glory of being ninety years old, and how could Huang Ba have the reputation of being the first prime minister.

The greatest hardship in life is waiting for death. Because most people live in the world with expectations for the future.

But if you know that death is close at hand and the flame of hope is extinguished, your heart will often feel dry and nothing will happen. Makes no more sense. But wise people also understand. Listening to the ticking of time, feeling like life is disappearing drop by drop from the body, what is the point of enduring the cruel torture of time? It is better to let go of everything, let go of the care for life, let go of the attachment to the future, and grasp The only moment that can be grasped, do what you can do at hand, and live every minute and every second of the moment to the fullest, then life will have the most realistic meaning. Buddhism says, "When you see something, do it. Once you do it, let it go. What's the big deal?" This mentality may seem negative, but it actually contains great wisdom. Live in the present and live the future.

D. Why do I get confused and unable to calm down every time I encounter something?

Seven ways to create a sunny mentality

Change your attitude and enjoy it Process, live in the moment, be emotionally independent, learn to be grateful, "heaven" and "hell" are created by the heart, learn to bend when the pressure is too great.

So, how to create a sunny mentality? Here are seven methods to share with you.

The first method: change your attitude.

If you can't change things, change your attitude towards them. A person is not hurt more by what happened than by how he thinks about it. The thing itself is not important, what is important is people's views on the matter.

There is an idiom called "a blessing in disguise": In the ancient East, there was a wise man who lost one of his horses. His neighbor said, "You are so unlucky." The wise man replied: " I don't know whether it is good or bad. "Soon, the lost horse came back with a wild horse. The neighbor said, "You are so lucky to have an extra horse." The wise man replied, "I don't know whether it is good or bad." "Soon, the wise man's son fell off his horse while riding a wild horse and broke his leg. The neighbor said, "You are so unlucky to have such a son with a broken leg." The wise man replied, "It's not a good thing or a bad thing." "You know." After a while, the emperor conscripted troops, and many young men were killed on the battlefield. The wise man's son was unable to fight because his leg was broken, so he survived without being conscripted. So in the long run, we don’t know whether anything is good or bad. Things are like a coin. Sometimes it may be heads, and two days later it may be tails, and after a while it may turn over again. If everything is viewed in two, people will become more rational and free-spirited.

Changing your attitude will often produce ***. With ***, you will have the fighting spirit to work hard, and the results will often change. There is a classic Chinese case like this: In ancient times, two scholars A and B were going to take the exam, and they saw a coffin on the way. A said: "It's really unlucky that I met the coffin. This exam is doomed." B said: "Coffin, I will be promoted and make a fortune. It seems that my luck has come. I will definitely pass the exam this time." When they answered the questions , their efforts were different, and B passed the exam. After returning home, they all said to their wives: "That coffin is really magical." This case shows that mentality can affect people's abilities, and abilities can change people's destiny. Ensuring that you are in a good mood now is the basis for ensuring that you will be in a good mood throughout the day. If you can ensure that you are in a good mood every day, you will gain a good quality of life and experience a wonderful life that others cannot experience.

The second method: enjoy the process.

Enjoy the process and make every day wonderful. Life is a process, not a result. If you don't enjoy the process, everyone knows what the result will be. Life is a bracket, the left bracket is birth, and the right bracket is death. What we have to do is to fill in the brackets, and we must strive to fill the brackets with a wonderful life and a good mood.

There was a young man who saw through the world of mortals and did nothing every day, sitting lazily under the tree and basking in the sun. A wise man asked him: "Young man, why don't you make money in such a great time?" The young man said, "It's boring, you have to spend the money you make." The wise man asked again: "Why don't you get married?" The young man said Said: "It's boring. If you don't make friends, you may get divorced." The wise man said, "Why don't you make friends?" The young man said, "It's boring. If you don't make friends, you may turn into enemies." The wise man gave the young man a rope and said: "You might as well hang yourself. You have to die anyway. It's better to die now." The young man said, "I don't want to die." The wise man then said, "Life is a process, not a result." The young man suddenly realized, This is called "a word to wake up the dreamer".

How to enjoy the process of life? Focus on positive things. Life is like traveling, memory is like photography, attention determines choices, and choices determine content. There are two people, A and B, looking at the scenery. At first, you looked at it and I looked at it, both of them were very happy. Later, A played a clever trick and walked faster to take a look at the scenery earlier than B.

When B takes a look, how can I let you take a look earlier than me and walk faster than A? So the two walked faster and faster, and finally started running. It used to be to see the scenery, but now it has become a race. The two of them did not see the scenery along the way for a while, and both of them regretted it when they reached the finish line. This is not enjoying the process of life.

The third method: live in the present.

The true meaning of living in the present moment comes from Zen. Someone asked a Zen master, what is living in the present? The Zen master replied, eating is eating, and sleeping is sleeping. This is called living in the present.

Let me ask you now, what is the most important thing to you? Who is the most important? When is the most important time? Some people may say that the most important things are getting promoted, getting rich, buying a house, and a car. The most important people are parents, lovers, and children. The most important times are college entrance examinations, graduation defenses, and weddings. Let me tell you, these are none of these. The most important thing is what you are doing now, the most important person is the person you are with now, and the most important time is now. This view is called living in the present.

A man was chased by a tiger. He ran desperately and accidentally fell off the cliff. With quick eyes and quick hands, he grabbed a rattan and hung his body in mid-air. He looked up, and the tiger was staring at him from above; he looked down, and the abyss was waiting for him; he looked in the middle, and suddenly found a ripe strawberry next to the cane. Now this person has three choices: going up, going down, or hanging in the air to eat strawberries. How does he choose? He chose to eat strawberries. This is a Zen story. The mentality of eating strawberries is to live in the present. The only thing you can control now is that strawberry, so eat it. The present connects the past and the future. If you don’t pay attention to the present, you will lose the future and cannot connect to the past. All you can grasp is the present. If you regret the past, you will be depressed; if you worry about the future, you will be restless; therefore, you should seize the present, do the things you do now conscientiously, and do not let the unpleasantness of the past interfere with the future. Worries are like robbers that rob you of your present happiness.

Living in the present makes everyone happy now and happy now. If you are unhappy right now, you are not living in the present moment. Of course, living in the present does not mean having wine today and not getting drunk tomorrow. It means having wine now and not getting drunk tomorrow, so that there will be no sorrow tomorrow, and living in the process with the future as the orientation.

To live in the present, you must learn to discover every good thing that happens to you, and believe that your life is unfolding in the best way. If you don't live in the present moment, you will lose the present moment.

There was a country girl who squeezed a can of milk, put it on her head, and then began to think wildly: How many yuan can this can of milk be sold for, and how many chicks can be bought for these few yuan? When a chick grows up, it can lay a lot of eggs, and the eggs can hatch out a lot of chicks. When a chick grows up, it can lay a lot of eggs. The money from selling these eggs is enough for me to buy a beautiful skirt. I wear the skirt to Dancing in the palace, my dancing attracted the prince, and the prince invited me to dance. I should appear more reserved... Thinking of this, she tilted her head, and the milk jug fell to the ground and broke. This is "if you don't live in the present, you will lose the present."

The fourth method: emotional independence.

Emotional independence means not to base the source of your happiness on the behavior of others. All we can control is ourselves.

Once, Su Dongpo and Zen Master Foyin visited the temple and found that Guanyin Bodhisattva in the temple also held rosary beads in his hand. Su Dongpo asked: "When people recite Guanyin with rosary beads, who does Guanyin recite with rosary beads?" Foyin replied: "Still reciting Guanyin." Su Dongpo asked again: "Why does Guanyin still recite Guanyin and herself?" Foyin's answer was: Asking for help. It is better to ask for yourself. Therefore, if you want to be in a good inner state, you must learn to be emotionally independent.

Some people are always worried and worried about the future. Don't bother yourself. If you can't control what you're worried about, just let it be. We can only consider things within our ability, try our best if we can, and leave it to others if we are unable to do so. To be admitted to the doctoral program of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, only one in 50 candidates will be admitted, and the competition is very fierce.

Someone said: "It would be so embarrassing if I fail the exam. What will happen to my future?" I told him: "48 people like you have failed the exam. What you can grasp is to work hard on the exam and regard the exam as the key to life." An experience. "

The fifth method: learn to be grateful.

The boss of a certain company told me that when he recruits college students, he first looks at whether they are filial to their parents. If they are not even filial to their parents, they will not be loyal to the company. When recruiting, he would ask: "What do you do during the winter and summer vacations?" The applicant replied: "Playing, traveling, and resting." He then asked: "Do you go back to your hometown often?" They said: "Go back often." The boss continued Asked: "What do you do?" They said: "Find classmates to eat, chat, and play together." The boss finally asked: "What do you do at home?" They said: "Sleep, watch TV." The boss said to such candidates I am dissatisfied: Why don’t you mention honoring your parents? You can help your parents with some work and talk about your experiences in college. To learn to be grateful, it is important to first be grateful to your parents.

There is Thanksgiving in the West, and everyone will thank others for their help on that day. Many people will send a text message to everyone who has helped, supported, and loved them to thank them for taking care of them. If you send a text message, others will reply and send text messages to the people they need to be grateful for. This will have a chain reaction. Everyone will have a happy Thanksgiving and interpersonal relationships will become more harmonious. Gratitude can put people in a good mood. There is a proverb in the West: Eating vegetables with love is better than eating beef with hatred.

The sixth method: "Heaven" and "Hell" are created by the heart.

Whether a person is happy or not has essentially nothing to do with wealth, status, and power. Happiness is determined by thoughts and mentality. The heart can create "heaven" or "hell". A samurai asked the old Zen master: "Master, what is 'heaven'? What is 'hell'?" The old Zen master looked at him contemptuously and said, "A person like you is not worthy of talking about 'heaven' with me." Samurai Enraged, he pulled out his sword, put it on the old Zen master's neck, and said, "Old man, I'm going to kill you!" The old Zen master said calmly, "This is hell." The samurai understood. , the emotion of anger is "hell". So he put the knife back. The old Zen master said calmly: "This is 'heaven'." The warrior understood that a good mood is "heaven".

There is another interesting story: God led a man to hell, and the man found that the people in hell were all skinny. They all drank the porridge with a special spoon. The handle of the spoon was extremely long and the head of the spoon was very small. Not only could they not drink any of the porridge, but the porridge they scooped out was spilled on the ground. Finally there was no more porridge in the bucket, and everyone complained and hated each other. God took this man to heaven again, and he found that everyone in heaven was chubby and smiling. They used the same spoons and ate the same porridge, but they scooped it out and fed it to others. You fed me and I fed you. As a result, everyone ate the porridge.

This means that we must learn to be kind to the people around us. Some people say: "I have many close friends, but they are all in Xinjiang. Water far away cannot quench my thirst." Some people regard colleagues in the office as opponents, and they are all wrong! The only people who can help you in a critical moment are your colleagues and people around you. If you see others as devils, you will live in "hell"; if you see others as angels, you will live in "heaven". If you can turn others into devils, you are creating "hell"; if you can turn others into angels, you are creating "heaven." How can you turn someone into an angel? Learn to be grateful, appreciate, give, and be tolerant.

The seventh method: Learn to bend when the pressure is too great.

There is such a case: There is a couple in Canada who always quarrel and are on the verge of divorce. So they decided to go on a trip to try to save their marriage.

The two came to a north-south valley in Quebec. They were surprised to find that the east slope of the valley was covered with various trees, but the west slope only had cedars. Why was there such a big difference between the east and west slopes? Why can only cedar survive on the western slope? Later, the two discovered that the snow was heavy on the west slope and light on the east slope. The cedar branches were soft. If there was too much snow, the branches would be bent. After the snow fell, the branches would recover. While other trees are stiff, their branches will eventually be broken by the weight of the snow, and the tree will die. The two of them understood that people should learn to bend when they are under great pressure. The husband quickly complained to his wife: "It's all my fault, I didn't do the right thing." As soon as the wife heard her husband's confession, she immediately said, "I didn't do enough." So the two reconciled as before.

No matter how sharp the knife is, it is of no use if it breaks at the first touch. We might as well learn from Tai Chi in traditional Chinese culture, which uses softness to overcome strength; learn from ancient coins, which are round on the outside and square on the inside. Of course it's difficult, but we have to work hard.

E. The story of living in the present

I am like a book. If I talk about myself, the main thing I want to do in living now is to make money, followed by eating, sleeping and playing games. Doudou, a story that can never be told.

F. The benefits of living in the present

It is difficult to explain this Buddhist saying directly, but it is difficult to reveal the essential connotation. Let me use a story to illustrate: "The Record of the Lamp" tells Said: Master Huiyuan and his disciples were on their way and saw a woman waiting to be crossed by a river. There was no boat or bridge. The old monk carried the woman across the river without saying a word. When he returned to the temple, the young monk couldn't help but ask the old monk: "Monks are forbidden to have sex with women. Why did the master carry that woman on his back?" The old monk said seriously: "I put that woman down a long time ago, why are you still carrying her?"

Living in the present means letting go of your burdens and living happily in this moment. Living in the present means having no worries or regrets. You don’t needlessly imagine and worry about what will happen in the future, so you don’t have to worry; you don’t needlessly think about and care about the gains and losses of what happened in the past, so you have no regrets. A person who can live in the present moment without any worries and regrets, with joy and without being bound by anything born from the heart, is the portrayal of those who attained the Taoism at that time.

I wish you live every day well, cherish everything you have now, live your life and live a wonderful life.

G. Examples of living in the present

1. At the beginning of Emperor Xuan of the Han Dynasty, he issued an edict to upgrade the "temple music" worshiped by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. Unexpectedly, it was blocked by Dr. Guanglu Xia Housheng and Minister Huang Ba objected, so the two were arrested and imprisoned together, sentenced to death, and awaited execution.

Fortunately, Huang Ba was locked up with him, and there was still someone to talk to in the loneliness.

Huang Ba is optimistic by nature. He has long admired Xia Housheng as a great scholar, but he has never been close to him. Unexpectedly, he was put into the same cell due to an unexpected disaster. He thought to himself: "It turns out that I am busy working every day and have no time." , now that we have time and a good teacher is right in front of us, why not quickly make up for this lesson?"

Huang Ba told Xia Housheng that he wanted to ask for advice. Xia Housheng smiled bitterly and said: "We have all committed a capital crime and will be executed tomorrow. What is the use of reading scriptures now?"

Huang Ba said: "Confucius said: "Hear the Tao in the morning and die in the evening. That’s right. ? People should live in the present, seize the present, learn something, and have enlightenment. Today is happy, so why worry about the illusory tomorrow?”

Xia Housheng listened to the spirit. Suddenly, he was deeply moved and immediately agreed to Huang Ba's request. From then on, the two sat on the floor. Every day, Xia Housheng carefully taught Huang Ba the Book of History, and Huang Ba listened with all his heart. The two lectured day and night with great interest, and studied to the subtle points. From time to time he would hold his hands and laugh.

2. The janitor of the church wanted to share Jesus’ pain, so Jesus agreed to let him exchange a day with himself and let the janitor kneel on his behalf. The premise was that no matter what he saw, he could not speak. Agreed.

There were many people coming and going on their knees. After a wealthy businessman finished praying, he forgot the money on hand and left. The gatekeeper could not speak, so he did not stop him. Then a poor man came in, picked up the money bag, and thanked Jesus for the gift. The gatekeeper also refrained from speaking.

After a while, a crew member came to pray for safety. The wealthy businessman came back to look for the lost money bag, thinking that it was the crew member who had taken it, and they argued endlessly.

The gatekeeper couldn’t bear it anymore and explained the situation to them, but Jesus said that he had no right to stand there. Because the rich businessman is not short of money, but the poor man can rely on the money to support his family, and the sailor, if he continues to argue with the rich businessman, will miss the time to go to sea, and now he can escape the storm.

No matter how you view everything you have now, this is the best gift in life, because it is impossible to change the past, let alone predict the future, so living in the present is the best choice.

3. Once upon a time, there was a young monk who was responsible for cleaning the fallen leaves in the temple yard every morning.

Getting up early in the morning to sweep fallen leaves is really a chore, especially in autumn and winter. Every time the wind blows, the leaves will always be blown everywhere. It takes a lot of time to clean the leaves every morning, which gives the little monk a headache. So he got up early the next day and shook the trees in the yard vigorously so that he could sweep away today's and tomorrow's fallen leaves at once.

The next day, the little monk went to the yard and took a look. He was dumbfounded. The yard was covered with fallen leaves as usual.

The little monk finally understood that there are many things in the world that cannot be predicted in advance. Only living seriously in the present is the most authentic attitude towards life.

He wanted to be a supervisor and then a manager. Later, he wanted to have his own company, a beautiful wife, and a comfortable house...

The young man kept moving the hour hand, He quickly got everything he wanted, but he suddenly found that his life had come to an end. He regretted it, but he could never go back.

5. One day, Zen Master Youyuan came to visit Zen Master Dazhu Huihai and asked for advice on how to practice Taoism.

He asked Zen Master Huihai: "Monk, do you also work hard to cultivate Taoism?"

Zen Master replied: "Work hard!"

Youyuan asked again: "How? "What about hard work?"

The Zen master replied: "Eat when you are hungry, and sleep when you are tired."

Youyuan asked with some confusion: "If this is hard work, then how can it be so?" Don’t everyone work as hard as the Zen master?”

The Zen master said: “Of course it’s different!”

Youyuan asked again: “Why are they not the same? "

The Zen master said: "Most people don't eat well and have all kinds of thoughts; they don't sleep well and have all kinds of delusions. "

This Zen story points out the importance of being present. In real life, many people do not live in the present. They always waste time and energy on looking forward and backward.
