The main functions of Leizhou Public Security Bureau

(1) Research and determine the goals, tasks and measures of public security work in accordance with national, provincial and municipal guidelines, policies and arrangements for public security work, combined with local realities; grasp the issues that affect stability and endanger domestic security and social security Analyze the situation and formulate countermeasures; guide, supervise, and inspect local public security work.

(2) Organize, guide, and implement the detection of local serious and extremely serious cases, and handle major public security cases and riots.

(3) Lead the local public security organs to manage social security, household registration, resident ID cards, and entry and exit management in accordance with the law; supervise the security work of agencies, groups, enterprises and institutions in accordance with the law; guide the security organizations of enterprises and institutions , the construction of economic police team and security team.

(4) Guide and supervise local public security firefighting work.

(5) Manage local urban and rural road traffic safety and maintain traffic order.

(6) In charge of local computer information system safety supervision and public security confidential communications.

(7) Organize and implement the execution of penalties and the management of detention centers and public security detention centers according to law, and undertake the review of reeducation through labor.

(8) Organize and implement safety and security work for party and state leaders and important foreign guests.

(9) Research and formulate local public security science and technology work plans, and organize the implementation of local public security information technology, criminal technology, and action technology construction work.

(10) Formulate police support measures such as equipment, clothing, and funding for local public security agencies, and guide and supervise the implementation of police support systems and standards of local public security agencies.

(11) Lead, inspect, supervise and organize the implementation of law enforcement activities of local public security organs.

(12) Study and formulate implementation plans and measures for the supervision and management rules and regulations of the public security team, organize and guide the inspection work of local public security organs; investigate and handle or supervise the handling of major disciplinary violations cases by the local public security team.

(13) Plan and organize the implementation of the construction of the local public security team, and study and formulate work plans and specific measures for training, education, publicity, preferential treatment, and commendation of local public security personnel.

(14) Guide the construction of local firefighting and security forces.

(15) Guide, coordinate and manage the public security work of the forestry department.

(16) Undertake other matters assigned by the Ministry of Public Security, Public Security Department, Municipal Public Security Bureau, County Party Committee and County Government.
