Established in 1984, Guangzhou Development Zone is one of the first national economic and technological development zones. Located in the core of the Pearl River Delta, it covers Hong Kong, Macau, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and other cities by 2 hours' drive. Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Guangzhou Free Trade Zone and Guangzhou Export Processing Zone are new management modes of "four zones in one", and the total planned area approved by the State Council is 78.92 square kilometers.
