A Different Experience of Rushan Silver Beach in Weihai

Before coming to Rushan Silver Beach, I heard some negative news about the "ghost town" of Silver Beach, such as fewer people and cars, inconvenient travel, high vacancy rate in large residential areas and so on. After my accommodation experience and observation of the surrounding environment these days, I have a preliminary understanding, and some rumors still exist.

Walking along the Yangtze River Avenue along the coast, the streets are clean and tidy, and the supporting infrastructure is still very good, because everything is available.

Different styles of residential buildings face the sea, reflecting the real sea view room. The residential building facing the street can see the sea through the window. Green plants cover the whole street and residential areas, and various entertainment facilities and leisure facilities have sprung up on the seaside trails. Although the beach by the sea is not as good as the real beach bath, it is also the original ecological gravel, soft and barefoot, with slow sea breeze and fresh air. By mid-May, the temperature in Rushan Yintan has been floating around 20 degrees, saying that it is cold or not, and that it is hot or not. A light rain suddenly cooled down, as if it had returned to spring, which made people shudder, while inland Shaanxi, Henan, Hebei and other provinces had already broken through the high temperature of 30 degrees, indicating the arrival of summer.

Going east along the Yangtze River Avenue, the most shops on the street are real estate agents, and the vacancy rate of houses in each community is almost high. It seems that "ghost town" is not a hollow reputation. There are only a dozen brick-concrete buildings in the community I rent, all of which are 6+7 (six stories high, plus the attic). It has been built for more than ten years, but the vacancy rate is as high as 95%. At night, Liao Liao's lights reveal the tranquility of the community and occasionally meet them.

On the empty street, most of the vehicles coming and going are foreign license plates, and they must be people who come here for summer vacation and leisure like us. Digested after meals, people gathered in twos and threes on the seaside trail 200 meters away in a straight line, or walked or danced square dance, which made this famous but criticized town a little popular.

On Binhai Street, every real estate agent posted the most favorable advertisements for buying houses. /kloc-0.00 square meters of three-bedroom minimum 200,000-300,000, and even 300-400 square meters of single-family villas are more than one million. For us mainlanders, the house price here is incredibly low, but even at such a preferential price, few people are interested. It is conceivable that it was unrealistic to vigorously develop at the beginning, and the supply exceeded the demand. And those who bought the real estate in this area, even if sold at a low price, may not be taken over, which makes the real estate industry in this area so depressed and depressed. The reason is unknown, and I don't want to get into it.

Walking on the wooden plank road by the sea, people walk through the leisurely sea, but their accents and dialects are different. Beijingers, Shanghainese, Tianjin people, Shaanxi people, Qinghai people, Jiangsu people, Northeast people, etc. People from all corners of the country gathered in Yintan, and most of them came here for the summer.

According to the landlord, after entering June, with the arrival of hot summer in the mainland, a large number of "migratory birds" will come one after another. The original owners and mainland renters will come one after another, more and more year by year. Short-term rent for one or two months, and long-term rent for four or five months will also bring vitality to the surrounding business districts. Large and medium-sized supermarkets and seafood markets are held every two days and seven days (Lunar New Year) every week. There are five bus lines along the coast of yanjiang road, which run through the streets of the new district. The expressways extend in all directions and the transportation is convenient.

Looking at Rushan Silver Beach in Binhai New Area, the upsurge of buying houses has already fallen into a bottleneck. Early second-hand houses had no heating in winter, and they were idle for seven or eight months, and all kinds of property fees still had to be paid. The wet seaside, rusty room ironware, moldy bedding equipment on the lower floors are bothering buyers who come here. Buyers who bought real estate in this area in the early years and people who have lived here for a long time, because most rooms have no heating facilities, winter is coming. After careful consideration, it is better to rent a house with low rent, saving time, effort and money. Most rented houses have kitchen utensils, can cook and are self-sufficient, which saves the high cost of solving food and clothing every day, and the prices of local seafood and vegetables are also relatively low. As a result, renters appeared. This may be another alternative to the self-digestion of the "ghost town" in Yintan, because temporary tenants like me have seen fireworks different from those in the mainland. The sky is blue, the sea is wide, the air is fresh, away from the smog of the city, away from the noise, away from the unbearable heat. Silver beach, I'll see you next summer!
