The so-called anti-pinch electric window is to install a group of current sensors, and the Hall sensor always detects the speed of the motor. When the electric window rises, once the motor speed slows down, when the Hall sensor detects that the speed changes, it will report the information to the ECU, and the ECU will send an instruction to the relay, and the circuit will reverse the current, so that the motor will stop running or reverse (descend), so that the window will stop moving or descend, so it has a certain anti-pinch function.

However, in many experiments, walnuts are used as the clamped objects, and the windows directly crush walnuts, so the response sensitivity of the anti-pinch function is also controversial.

The accident occurred in the previous generation of GAC Toyota Highlander. Only the main driver of the old Highlander is equipped with one-button lifting, and the whole system is not equipped with four windows and one-button lifting.

The boy was caught in the co-driver's position. Because the co-driver's window has no one-button lifting configuration, there is no anti-pinch function. So we speculated that it might be because of the child's own misoperation that he was caught; Or the owner modified the one-button lifting in the later period, but did not match the corresponding anti-pinch function.
