Zhangjiagang belongs to Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Zhangjiagang is located in the east of Chinese mainland, on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with a total area of 999 square kilometers. It is a national ecological garden city and belongs to a county-level city managed by Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Zhangjiagang, formerly known as Shazhou, withdrew from the county to build a city in September 1986, and its history can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period, when the area belonged to the territory of Wu, a vassal state. During the Warring States Period, Zhangjiagang was first a state of Yue, and then became the territory of Chu, which was in the county. Geographically, there are many famous scenic spots in Zhangjiagang, such as Yong Lian Town, Yongqing Temple in Phoenix Mountain, Shi Yang Mansion in Grange, Phoenix Mountain, Dudongyuan, Shuangshan Island, Liangfeng Ecological Park and Xiangshan Park. Among them, Xiangshan Scenic Area is located in Nansha Town, Zhangjiagang City, which is the highest in the city. The whole mountain covers an area of 4.37 square kilometers, which is composed of large and small fragrant hills and is known as the famous mountain in the south of the Yangtze River.
