The second phase of Ningde Shuguang City started in June 2022. In June 2022, Ningde, alias Mindong and Jiaocheng, was a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province. It is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, bordering the East China Sea in the east, Fuzhou in the south, Nanping in the west and Wenzhou in Zhejiang in the north. By the end of 2020, Ningde has a land area of 13452 square kilometers and a sea area of 44600 square kilometers.
