Is it illegal to wash the floor with a fire hydrant?

Legal analysis: it is illegal to misappropriate fire hydrant water, which not only causes waste of water resources, but also causes fire hydrants not to be used normally in case of sudden fire, which affects firefighters' extinguishing. Opening a fire hydrant without authorization is not only an act of stealing water, but also a violation of the relevant provisions of the Fire Protection Law. Because there is water pressure in the fire hydrant, opening it without authorization is likely to reduce the water pressure and affect the water consumption of surrounding residents. Moreover, the fire hydrant will be damaged if it is opened at will, which may affect the normal operation of the fire hydrant in an emergency. In case of fire, the problem will be more serious. If the public discovers the phenomenon of unscrewing the fire hydrant to get water privately, they can report it to the water company or call the police.

Legal basis: Article 60 of the Fire Prevention Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) City, if a unit violates the provisions of this law and commits one of the following acts, it shall be ordered to make corrections and be fined between 5,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan: (1) The configuration and setting of fire control facilities and equipment or fire safety signs do not meet the national standards and industry standards, or are not kept intact and effective; (two) damage, misappropriation or unauthorized removal, stop using fire control facilities and equipment; (3) Occupying, blocking or sealing evacuation passages and exits or other acts that hinder safe evacuation; (four) burying, occupying, blocking the fire hydrant or occupying the fire prevention space; (five) occupy, block or close the passage of fire engines, which hinders the passage of fire engines; (six) in crowded places, obstacles affecting escape and fire fighting and rescue are set on doors and windows; (seven) after being notified by the fire rescue agency, failing to take timely measures to eliminate fire hazards. Individuals who commit any of the acts listed in the second, third, fourth and fifth items of the preceding paragraph shall be given a warning or imposed a fine of not more than 500 yuan. Anyone who commits any of the acts in Item 3, Item 4, Item 5 and Item 6 of the first paragraph of this article and refuses to correct it after being ordered to do so shall be enforced, and the expenses required shall be borne by the violator.
