What's the difference between a tea party and a symposium?

I don't usually think much. Today, I suddenly became interested in symposiums and tea parties. Let me introduce the difference between the two.

A forum should be where many people sit down and talk easily; What about the tea party? It also means that many people sit down and talk easily, but one thing is different. Tea parties may be accompanied by tea or fruit snacks, so that everyone can talk while eating and drinking. Comparatively speaking, the forum should be more formal than the tea party.

In fact, the tea party evolved from the old tea party and the ancient tea banquet, and now it has become a fashionable gathering. Nowadays, tea parties are very popular, from discussing state affairs to getting together with classmates. What about the symposium? Besides being more formal than a tea party, the scope will be narrower, mainly for work.
