The distance should not be too far, which will affect the travel experience. Four-year-old Luke can sit in the car, but it's better not to sit for too long, otherwise he and his parents who drive can't stand it.

Not too close. After staying at home for almost a year, I finally went out and naturally wanted to see something different. Since the outbreak began, we have gone to all the outdoor places near our home.

Thanks to the wise Luke's father, he did a lot of research and investigation, and finally chose a German town that was more than three hours' drive from home.

We are in the northwest, rainy in autumn and winter, and seldom see the sun (many people living here are seasonally depressed because of lack of sunshine, and Luke's mother has adapted).

The German town we are going to is on the other side of the mountain. In winter, the rain is blocked by the rocky mountains on the coast (that is, the city where we live now). Sometimes it's sunny, and sometimes it snows in wet and cold air, which is similar to the climate in Utah where we once lived.

After planning the destination, the next step is to choose the place to live. This is what we were worried about before. After all, places with high population density like hotels are slightly more risky.

When you check in, there will be many people staying in a closed space in the lobby at the same time, and the safety of the air circulation system should also be considered in the room. It's trouble anyway.

This is such a difficult problem that we have solved it. Small towns in Germany are tourist cities. Although there are many hotels, none of them meet our requirements. Luke's father found a cabin in the Woods more than 20 minutes' drive from town.

The hut is an independent small house, and there is no indoor intersection with other residents. As long as the windows are ventilated and all kinds of surfaces are disinfected before check-in, there is no hidden danger of virus.

The disadvantages are also obvious, that is, it is a little far from the urban area, and supermarkets and restaurants are a little far away. Fortunately, the cabin is fully equipped, and there is a simple kitchen in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. You don't have to worry about not having hot meals when you go.

In addition, there was no Wifi in the cabin and no cell phone signal in the Woods, and we didn't find it until we arrived.

Luke likes this bed that can climb up and down.

In order to push articles to everyone on time, we changed several places in the city to find places with better signals. . . Haha, it's really hard to be a "cow dog"

Preparatory cutting

Luke's family set off on the morning of 17. Before leaving, Luke's mother made full preparations in all aspects.

First of all, a disinfectant spray and a disinfectant wet towel are prepared for disinfection during check-in.

Besides, although sheets, quilts and towels will be provided in the cabin, Luke's mother is still not at ease. Specially prepared sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels and various toiletries.

There are many equipments to play with snow, besides snow trousers, coats, hats and gloves, there are sledges and snow tires to play with. Fortunately, Luke's car is big enough to hold all this furniture.

During the epidemic, I didn't expect a three-hour trip to be like moving.

In addition, Luke's mother also prepared some packaged salads and vegetables, which can quickly fix a healthy and nutritious meal in the cabin.

There are also various packaged snacks to prevent hunger on the road and during play. You know, Iowa has banned restaurants from receiving guests indoors, so you can only eat roadside food except where you live. The temperature in small towns in Germany is around 0 degrees at this time, so eating outdoors is not fun.

Let's start playing

There are two main activities in this trip, namely playing with snow and watching lights.

Luke likes snow more and more. We used to play sledding and snow tires, and Luke liked them very much.

Just arrived at the destination (not yet checked in), Luke's family is playing with snow in a state park near the cabin.

Because it is Thursday, there are few people in the park. There was another family playing when we first arrived, and then we left in less than half an hour. We are the only family on the whole sled slope, so we don't have to worry about the virus at all.

The slope of the hillside is not big, and the snow is loose, so the snow tires can't slide far. Luke's family tried several times, and then changed the sleigh.

Later, Luke likes to throw snowballs. When you say throwing snowballs, you actually throw snowballs at dad. Fortunately, Luke is young and has limited strength.

Seeing that Luke and his father were having so much fun, Luke's mother silently picked up the sleigh and skated for more than a dozen times. Every time I finish skiing, I have to drag it back to the top of the slope, even saving aerobic exercise.

This park is really a good place to play with snow. There was not only a small theater on the hillside, but Luke and his father also played hide-and-seek in the theater later.

Not far from the hillside is a lake, which is very beautiful. The beach is covered with snow, which is simply beautiful.

Luke's mother and Luke's team had a snowball fight with their father here, and all their troubles vanished.

Luke brought his teammate Pig Bajie (Luke's mother) a sled as a shield, and Pig Bajie snowballed the Monkey King while defending.

Luke's favorite place in this park is the bathroom (you all know how important the bathroom is), which is not only clean but also heated, and the experience is great.

In addition to the park, we also went to a small ski resort for an important activity of mending snow tires. This ski resort has a special passage for snow tires and a cable car to pull it up, eliminating the need for climbing.

Luke's mother and Luke have had enough addiction. There is a rule in Xueyuan that there can only be one person per snow tire. Luke's little classmates made their own snow tires without fear.

When Luke's mother sat for the first time, she felt that the speed was really fast and she was a little worried about Luke's classmates. Later, she found Luke laughing and asked me excitedly how many times I could sit.

Later, when I reached the top of the slope, Luke began to laugh. After sliding down, I knew that I had taken the initiative to pull the snow tire off the slide and gave it to the next person. The old mother thought the money was well spent.

Besides playing with snow, our other activity is watching lights. Christmas lights in German towns are very famous. Because of the epidemic, the lantern show, which was originally only available at Christmas, was extended for more than a month to disperse the crowd.

We basically play with snow during the day and go to town to see the lights at night. The whole town is in German style, and German symbols can be seen everywhere.

At first, we just wanted to look around. Later, when Luke saw many children playing sleigh in the town square, he couldn't help it and finally joined them. . .

When Luke's father and Luke were playing sleigh, Luke's mother wandered around the city and stood still. It was too cold. The shop windows are beautiful and most of them are decorated with Christmas themes.

Affected by the epidemic, many merchants can't continue to operate, which is a bit heavy.

The sign said, "Thanks to the support of the past 55 years, we are closed."

A grain of sand of the times falls on everyone, and it is a mountain. I don't know when the epidemic will end. When will these innocent people get their lives back?

There are many authentic German restaurants in German towns. The restaurant was empty because of the ban on indoor service.

But business still needs to be done, so everyone set up a shed outside the restaurant to receive guests.

Before Luke's mother came, she didn't do enough homework on food (knowing that she couldn't go to the restaurant), except that the sausages here were famous.

When I went shopping at night, I found a restaurant waiting in a long line for seats, which simply refreshed my three views. You know, I can only eat out when I get there. . . How delicious is this?

Later, I passed by during the day and found that the queue of this restaurant was longer, at least 50 meters by visual inspection. . . This makes me curious. When the epidemic is over, I can go to a restaurant to eat. I will definitely experience it.

Happy times are always fleeting.

Luke looked unhappy when he was ready to go home. Obviously, three or four days is too short for children.

After returning home, Luke lay down for a long time, suddenly got up and cried and said to us: I didn't say goodbye to the hotel, I want to say goodbye to it.

In fact, Luke's parents don't want to go back, but life always comes back to reality, doesn't it?

When I got home, I saw a lot of couriers and gifts piled up at the door (three were gifts from my neighbors, and I had received several before), and my heart was warm.
