How to deal with property overcharge?

If the property overcharges electricity, it may complain to the real estate administrative department of the local people's government at or above the county level and the local price administrative department, or submit it to the arbitration commission where the property management company is located for adjudication to resolve the dispute.

Article 43 of the Electricity Law

No unit may set the electricity price beyond the authority of electricity price management. Power supply enterprises shall not change the electricity price without authorization.

Article 44 of the Regulations on Property Management

Within the property management area, water supply, power supply, gas supply, heating, communication, cable TV and other units shall charge relevant fees to the end users. Where a realty service enterprise accepts the entrustment to collect the fees mentioned in the preceding paragraph, it shall not collect additional fees such as handling fees from the owners.
