Dalian Naval Academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army is affiliated to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy. It mainly undertakes the undergraduate education of naval surface ship growth commanding officers and technical officers of surveying and mapping and marine growth, the primary training of surface ship active officers, and the auxiliary training of surface ship active officers and naval political work.

China International Hydrographic Surveyor A-B authorized training unit and International Nautical Cartographer A-level authorized training unit, the world's "Double A" training unit, undertake the tasks of postgraduate education, new equipment training and foreign military students' education.
