But for me, the most impressive thing is the cinema. People's entertainment life is not so rich, and the cinema is probably the one they go to the most. Liang Jiyong: There are several problems: First, things that can't sell at high prices are everywhere, such as pajamas, which cost six yuan. I have a friend who is the regional manager of a famous sports brand. He told me that their shops always sell only special prices. Second, the traffic is inconvenient. There is still a long way from the subway station to Shangxiajiu Road. Everything you see along the way is not good, and many shops selling things are not worth visiting. Third, the consumption power of local residents is limited. Also, for example, arcade, only appearance. 10 years ago, every arcade on Shangjiu Road had its own characteristics and was beautiful, but after unified decoration, it lost its individuality and became the same, with the same facade and the same windows. What's the point? Imagine Shanghai Bund, or Nanjing Road. If all the windows are the same, what's the attraction?

Guangzhou Business Card: What do you think is the biggest attraction of Shangxiajiu?

Liang Jiyong: The biggest attraction of Shangxiajiu comes from the Xiguan complex of locals and foreigners, as well as the attraction of food, which should actually be classified as Xiguan complex. Especially for local people, its comprehensive charm comes from food.

Guangzhou Business Card: In your opinion, what should an attractive Shangxiajiu look like?

Liang Jiyong: Actually, nostalgia is popular now. It is necessary to turn Shangxiajiu into a tasteful and nostalgic leisure business circle. For example, the second floor of many arcades can be made into cafes, restaurants, or specialty stores; Some time-honored brands should be fully developed. For example, Zhang Lun, a time-honored brand over 90 years old, not only has the mark of the time-honored brand in the store, but also dozens of dollars of jeans sold in the store are irrelevant, which is tantamount to a "golden rice bowl begging". Shangxiajiu used to be the most prosperous place in Guangzhou, specializing in expensive things. Even if we can't go back to the past, at least the merchants in the upper, lower and lower levels can be subdivided and repositioned. It used to be called: Jiufu opened the map of Guangzhou, and many place names in Laoxiguan were named after "Fu". The famous Xiajiu Road used to be called "Xiajiu House". Together with the existing Fu No.10 Road, Fu No.18 Road and Shuijiao, the word "Fu" is the best place name in Laoxiguan.

There are many "blessings" in the place names of Laoxiguan.

What is "blessing"? According to legend, the Qing soldiers chased the masses along the Western Wall in the early Qing Dynasty, which was nine miles away, hence the name Jiufu. Because it is located behind Shangjiufu and Sanpo, it is called Xiajiufu and later renamed Xiajiulu.

With Xiajiu Road, is the place name of Shangjiu Road also related to "Fu"? It is also said to be related to the story of Qing soldiers chasing the masses along the Western Wall in the early Qing Dynasty. When the Qing soldiers passed by, they had reached Jiufu Road, which was in the upper section of Jiufu (that is, the front section), so they were called Shangjiu Road.
