What's it like to work in Wanhua Chemical (Yantai)?

The feeling is as follows:

Neither a person nor a company is perfect. To evaluate a company, we should also look at it comprehensively. Besides the existing problems, we should also look at its advantages and competitiveness.

Let's talk about several obvious advantages:

The first company has developed rapidly in the past few years. There is no doubt that from the planning and projects I have heard, it will maintain rapid growth in the next few years. In the first half of this year, the company's sales and net profit reached a new high. Now there are many new projects in Yantai and Ningbo, and there are new bases in Fujian and Sichuan. Many young employees are promoted quickly and have many opportunities.

Second, talk about the research and development of Wanhua. As far as the chemical industry is concerned, at least Wanhua in China has done the best in R&D investment and technological achievements. The company attaches great importance to R&D from the root, and R&D has actually created many benefits for the company. For this platform, chemical companies may not have a second one.

The atmosphere of Sanlian is more positive. As an old employee who has worked in Wanhua for many years, the leaders I have experienced and the leaders I have led have done very principled things in these aspects. My assessment and bonus have ups and downs, but they will tell me why. It should be said that the word "fair" is fair.

Let me start with a few questions that many people talk about:

First, salary. Compared with my classmates, Wanhua's salary should be said to be quite satisfactory. Many students are better than me, but I think this is also the efforts of others, and I am not jealous.

It feels good to hold this salary and bonus in Yantai. In order to strengthen recruitment in the past two years, the company may lower the starting salary very high. To tell the truth, as an old employee, I'm a little panicked, too. I also hope that the company can take care of the feelings of old employees, do a good job of traceability and avoid hanging upside down.

Then there is the development space that many people care about. To put it simply, there are many opportunities for the company to develop so fast, and there are many appointments on OA. As for fairness, first, the implementation of the relative avoidance policy is very strict, and second, the promotion criteria are relatively transparent, including English test, performance years, 360 evaluation and so on. It should be said that it is not bad.

About overtime and dedication, these two words are very sensitive now, but when Wanhua mentioned them 10 years ago, no one should question them, because the older generation did this, and the company could not develop without enthusiasm.

But now that we have entered a new era, fewer and fewer people talk about dedication. Everyone agrees with the word struggle. Struggle is that I roll up my sleeves and work hard, and my achievements will be rewarded accordingly.

People who don't accept struggle are not necessarily suitable for an enterprise that advocates struggle. The same enterprise must also let the strugglers reap the rewards in order to gather more people to work together. I think this should be a two-way choice. If you pursue comfort, you may be disappointed.

Then about the workplace, Yantai should be regarded as a second-tier and third-tier city. Its GDP is second only to Qingdao and Jinan in Shandong. Compared with first-tier cities, housing prices are amiable. With Wanhua's salary and provident fund, it won't be difficult to buy a house, and the environment is good.

What most people should consider is that Wanhua is a ceiling enterprise in Yantai. If you plan your career every few years, it is not appropriate to go to Yantai. But if you want to take root in a company for a long time, this is not bad. Although the salary increase may not be as fast as job-hopping, I personally feel that times are changing and job-hopping talents may not be popular in the future.

Finally, the canteen problem. The company has different canteens in different places, so I won't comment on those who don't go often. I work in Cishan and have two restaurants, 1# and 2#, which are equivalent to competition. Colleagues around me have their own love for these two restaurants. I went to eat a vegetarian and a staple food 15 yuan. The price of vegetables is cheaper than that outside, but I still think the staff canteen is a bit expensive.

It's not bad to change the buffet mode now, just eat casually 12 yuan (the company subsidizes the restaurant 8 yuan). I think the taste of the food is ok, and the price is quite affordable. Plus 750 meals are distributed to pockets every month. What kind of bike do you need?
