On June 28th, 10, the multifunctional classroom of Yulin Town Central Primary School, Lanxi County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province was filled with laughter. Social workers from Heilongjiang Public Social Work Service Center and social worker college student volunteers from Harbin University of Commerce spent a happy day with more than 30 left-behind children.
Yulin Town Central Primary School is a large-scale boarding primary school in Lanxi County, with 1 128 students, including more than 70 boarders. Left-behind children are more concentrated and the problem is more prominent. The Social Work Support Plan for Three Districts in Heilongjiang Province, undertaken by the Public Social Work Service Center of Heilongjiang Province, selects Yulin Town Central Primary School in Lanxi County to carry out the social work project for the growth counseling of left-behind children, and adopts professional methods such as cases and groups to follow the professional concept of helping others and helping themselves to promote the self-growth, ability improvement and future development of left-behind children.
After school in the afternoon, social workers and volunteers interact with the children in the form of riddles, imitations and games. Volunteers always pay attention to each child's performance, record the situation quickly and evaluate the children's needs. During the activity, social workers also guided the children to talk about logic, family and other topics, which triggered their thinking. Social workers and volunteers also combine the performance of children in interactive activities to tailor a growth counseling plan for each child.
It is understood that the social work project of growth counseling for left-behind children in Yulin Town Central Primary School in Lanxi County has achieved gratifying results since its implementation in September. Up to now, the project demand matchmaking meeting and project start-up presentation meeting have been successfully held, and the project content and implementation plan have been comprehensively introduced to schools, teachers and parents, and nearly 100 suggestions have been solicited from schools, teachers, parents and left-behind children.
