In the third year of Jingtai in Ming Dynasty (1452), Shunde County was established. "Shunde" means "the virtue of obeying heaven", that is, it requires people to obey Wade of China.

Daliang town, formerly known as Taigen, was named after being located in the ancient Taigen Strait, and later renamed Daliang. There is Fengshan in the town, also known as Fengcheng.

Rongqi Town used to be named after Rongshan and Qishan.

In Lunjiao Town, Zheng Xunzhai was awarded the title of "Lunjiao" by the Ming Dynasty, and the court gave him a plaque as a reward.

Chencun Town, formerly known as "Jinlong", was renamed as "Chencun" after the death of Taiwei Chen in the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Lecong Town was named the Golden Boy of Geshi in Qing Dynasty. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, insurgents from various townships gathered there to attack the Qing army in Foshan and Guangzhou on foot. The banner read "Willing to obey", so later generations renamed the Golden Boy Ge as "Lecong".

Liu Lezhen, formerly known as "Erliu". The Beijiang River originally flowed eastward, but it turned west when it flowed here, so it was called "positive (negative) flow". Because the words "positive" and "negative" are unlucky, people borrowed the homophonic word "music" and renamed it "music flow".

Xingtan Town was built by Xia and Tan in the Southern Song Dynasty. Taking the word "Xingtan" as the old saying "Confucius lives in Xingtan, with 70 sages and 3,000 disciples" as the village name, it is not only the homophonic of Xia and Tan, but also advertised as the hometown of rites and music.

Jun 'an Town was a market opened by wealthy families in Cangmen and Sanhua Village during Xuan Tong period in Qing Dynasty. It was named Jun 'an, which means * * * lived and worked together.

People from Zhufan Lane, Nanxiong, Guizhou, fled to Funinggang to settle down before the Southern Song Dynasty, and then gradually expanded to Cuizhugang and Shishan. At that time, three mountains and green waters surrounded it like an island. Because there are three big osmanthus trees on Funing Mountain, it is called "Guihuazhou", which is later referred to as "Guizhou".
