Zhuhai Power Plant is located in Lingang Industrial Zone, Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province. This is a large-scale thermal power plant jointly built by China and foreign countries. It is one of the key projects in the Ninth Five-Year Plan and belongs to Guangdong Yuedian Group Co., Ltd. It is 50 kilometers away from the east of Zhuhai, with an area of1150,000 square meters.

Two 700MW units were installed in the first phase of Zhuhai Power Plant, all of which were imported. The feasibility study report of the project was approved by the State Council in September, 1996, 165438+ 10, and the project officially started construction. The first unit was put into commercial operation on April 3, 2000, and the second unit was put into operation in September, 20065438.

As an important power support point in the west of Guangdong Power Grid, Zhuhai Power Plant has always implemented the policy of "safety first, prevention first", conscientiously implemented the management concept of NOSA, strengthened management and innovated development. In 2005, Zhuhai Power Plant won a four-star NOSA rating from South Africa with the highest scoring rate in the first review of domestic power systems, which won the honor of the industry. In June 2007, Zhuhai Power Plant won a five-star rating with high scores, shaping people-oriented safety. Since it was put into production, the cumulative power generation has reached 65.926 billion kWh, the total industrial output value has reached 65.438+03.774 billion yuan, and the tax paid to Zhuhai has reached 2.22 billion yuan. For four consecutive years, it was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit to Meet the Peak and Spend the Summer" by Guangdong Economic and Trade Commission, which made great contributions to alleviating the power supply shortage of Guangdong power grid and effectively promoting the economic growth of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Zhuhai Power Plant strengthens management, strives to build a modern power generation enterprise with harmonious development and green power, and innovatively puts forward the strategic goal of "developing scientifically and building a digital power plant". In June 2006, two sets of flue gas desulfurization engineering systems with an investment of more than 400 million yuan were put into operation, which can reduce the emission of sulfur dioxide by 24,000 tons every year, freeing up a huge space for Zhuhai, and won the title of "Guangdong Province Environmental Friendly Contribution Award" and "Top Ten Economic Figures of the Year" in Zhuhai.
