Taking word 2007 as an example, the method is as follows:

1. Click Insert, click SmartArt in the icon box, select hierarchy in the dialog box that appears, select vertical or horizontal structure legend in the organization chart that appears on the right, double-click the text that appears, and fill in information such as family tree, surname and generation.

2. If the family is well-off, you can add more articles in different generations (rows or columns). To do this, click the text box near the place you want to add, click "Add Shape" in the menu bar, and select Add Back, Front, Up and Down in the submenu.
