What does abundance mean?

Abundance is also a zoo term. It refers to a series of measures taken to enrich the life interest of wild animals, meet their physiological and psychological needs, and promote animals to show more natural behaviors in captivity.

It is an important technical work to build and change the living environment of animals, make them behave normally and provide them with more choices, so as to improve animal welfare.

Internationally recognized animal welfare believes that animals should enjoy five freedoms:

(1) Free from hunger, thirst and malnutrition;

(2) Freedom from fear and anxiety;

(3) Freedom from physical and environmental discomfort;

(4) Freedom from pain, injury and disease;

(5) Freedom to express normal nature.

Generally speaking, it is difficult for captive wild animals to "enjoy" the final "freedom". Abundance means that animals can show more natural behaviors and restore their original nature by stimulating food and environment according to the biological characteristics and environmental characteristics of their original habitats.
