The reporter learned from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that from July 1 day, the municipal government decided to open Zizhuyuan Park and other 12 parks and six museums free of charge. In the future, citizens and tourists will not have to buy tickets to visit these places.

The municipal party committee and municipal government require relevant departments to investigate the present situation of parks and museums in our city in order to provide more public products. After argumentation, 12 urban parks with large green areas and located near residential areas and 6 museums with patriotic education and popular science education were selected, which will be open to the public free of charge except the existing parks in the parks.

According to statistics, the free 12 park received more than 22.8 million visitors last year, and the ticket income exceeded120,000 yuan. Last year, six museums received 6.5438+0.3 million tourists, and the ticket income was 600,000 yuan. After free opening, the municipal and district governments will give free subsidies to parks and museums to ensure their normal operation and maintenance.

At present, relevant municipal and district departments have formulated implementation plans to ensure that 18 parks and museums will be opened free of charge as scheduled. The relevant departments remind the general public and tourists that the number of tourists may increase greatly after the free opening. Tickets for yuyuantan park in Dongdan Park of Longling Park are relatively low among Beijing municipal parks, with two yuan for adults and one yuan for the elderly and students. The park is free before 8 am and after 7 pm.
