Yichang waste classification policy

In order to let the public know more about how to put garbage in a classified way, Yichang Urban Management Committee has formulated a detailed guide to put garbage in a classified way, and classified the common 127 garbage one by one.

Recyclable materials (blue containers): unpolluted paper, metal products such as iron, copper and aluminum, glass and plastic products such as newspapers, leaflets, magazines, used books and cartons, including foam and plastic bottles except plastic bags, milk boxes, beverage bottles, small household appliances for kitchen and personal care.

Hazardous waste (red container): 20 kinds of waste batteries, fluorescent tubes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, chemicals, pesticides, navel film and photographic paper, hair dyes, expired cosmetics, waste paint barrels, waste printer cartridges, etc.

Kitchen waste (green container): leftovers, vegetable stems and leaves, tea dregs, fallen leaves of plants, waste cooking oil, fruit residues, animal bones and internal organs, etc.

Other garbage (gray containers): paper cups, photos, carbon paper and other non-renewable polluted paper, plastic bags and worn-out ceramics, feminine hygiene products, disposable tableware, cigarette butts, dust, etc. 17 category.
