Historical Evolution of Fu Jia Site

From 1985 to 1996, Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, with the cooperation of Guangrao County Museum, carried out two rescue excavations and cleaned up the site, with an exposed area of 707 square meters, and found 508 tombs in Dawenkou cultural period, 2 ash pits14, 4 wells, and unearthed stone tools, bones and horns.

On June 25th, 20 14, with the approval of Shandong Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, Shandong Institute of Archaeology and Dongying History Museum entered the Shi Cun site for scientific excavation, with an exposure area of 1000 square meters. The topography of the site is relatively flat and well preserved, and the thickness of cultural accumulation layer is about 2 meters. More than 100 relics were unearthed, including pottery, bones, mussels and porcelain. There are more than 50 ash pits, 3 wells and more than 20 Song and Qing tombs. According to experts such as Captain Hao Daohua of Shandong Institute of Archaeology, the site is a cultural relic of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
