The fief of "Jianchanghou" in Zhang Yanling in Ming Dynasty

In the Ming Dynasty, kings and marquis had real fiefs. However, there are also some titles that have no corresponding fiefs, such as the honorary title of' sincere' that was enfeoffed at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China. As for fiefs, the Ming dynasty was similar to the previous dynasty, giving rewards in the form of "editing households to eat the city", which was completely abolished in the Qing dynasty.

In the Ming Dynasty, its administrative divisions did not change much. In Zhu Yuanzhang's Hongwu reform in 7 and 9 years, Hongwu 15 years recovered Yunnan, and the national division was basically finalized. The main levels are the central government, the publicity and deployment department (i.e. province, book province), the government (Zhili prefecture) and the county level. In the Ming Dynasty, the division of Tao was abolished, and their "Tao" was only a post of civil administration or supervision and reserve, not an administrative system.

In terms of military establishment, the provincial military region is called Commander-in-Chief, Health Department, Thousand Households Department and so on. For Tusi and barbarians, Tusi organizations such as Tuzhou and Tuxian are mainly set up to make them relatively loose and semi-autonomous, such as Yunnan.

Zhang Yanling sealed Jianchang as the marquis of Jianchang, and the fief was in Jianchang. So where is the specific location?

There were so many jianchang in the Ming dynasty. Let's analyze it separately:

Jianchang, Sichuan 1

Originally belonging to the Kingdom of Du Qiong in the Han Dynasty, Yuegang County was established in the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty and Zhangzhou in the Tang Dynasty. When Tang Yizong was occupied by Zhao Meng army, they were called Jianchangyi, so the place names were changed to Jianchangfu and Jianchangjun. It was not until the Yuan Dynasty set up Jianchang Road here that the Ming Dynasty changed it to Wei (a small military region), which was located in Xichang County, Sichuan Province. At that time, it also included the site in the northwest of Yunnan Zhongdao today. At that time, the climate was very bad, the terrain was steep and there were many epidemics.

In the first month of Hongwu 15, after the site was recovered, it was first included in Yunnan from Sichuan, which was called Jianchang House. At the same time, the "Jianchangwei Military and Civilian Command and the Ambassador's Office" were also established. In June+10, 5438, the company stopped Xuanwei Company and returned the site to Sichuan, only changing its affiliation, and still called Jianchangfu and Jianchangwei.

In June of the 25th year of Hongwu, Jianchang House was abolished, and Jianchangwei was upgraded to the second-level military region, which was called Jianchang Military and Civilian Command and Ambassador Division. Commanders, barbarians and post offices in this area once rebelled and were suppressed by aquamarine and others. By the end of the Ming Dynasty, the military region was captured by Zhang.

In the history of the Ming Dynasty, there was a name called "Jianchang tidying up the army road", which can be considered as similar to today's "so-and-so reserve division".

There is another place,' Jianchang Enceladus, scheduled for the fifteenth year of Hongwu, will be abolished after Wanli'.

In June, the twenty-seventh year of Hongwu, the Ming government added the "Jianchang Avant-garde Commanding Division" here, which was abolished in the third year of Wanli.

Later, the Qing dynasty also set up "Jianchang Shangnan Road" and "Jianchang Town" (equivalent to the brigade, not the meaning of villages and towns now), stationed in Xichang. This Jianchang Road was restored in the Republic of China, with a large territory, including 28 counties such as Xichang.

Based on these facts, we can know that during the Xiaozong period of the Ming Dynasty, there were only military units of the central government and chieftain, but no Jianchang prefecture, prefecture or county. After checking the archives, I found that there was no Jianchang in the administrative division of Sichuan in the Ming Dynasty, which was completely consistent.

Therefore, it is impossible for this place to be enfeoffed to Zhang Yanling as a fief of Jianchang Hou.

2. Jianchang District, Jiangxi Province

Fuzhou in Tang Dynasty and Jianwu Army in Southern Tang Dynasty. Song dynasty rebuilt Chang army. Jianchang Road was changed in the Yuan Dynasty, Zhao Changfu was changed in the early Ming Dynasty, and soon it was changed to Jianchang House. Until the abolition of the Republic of China, the capital was in today's Nancheng County, including five counties such as Xincheng and Cheng Nan. At the same time, Jianchang Qianfu (Jianchang Garrison) was established. Now Nancheng County is also called Jianchang Town.

But it was given to King Jing and King Yi.

In the 22nd year of Yongle, King Mi of Beijing was established. Ten years later, he moved to Huguang qi zhou. In the 23rd year of Chenghua (1487), the "Wang Fu of Iraq" was built here. The first generation of wangyi was Zhu Youbing, the third son of Ming Xianzong at that time, and the younger brother of Xiaozong.

The title of this wangyi family has never been revoked. Until Chongzhen 14, Xu Xun was sent by Chongzhen to "serve the government" to investigate the current "violation of the law", and soon "rose up" to resist the Li Zicheng forces.

Based on the above situation, Jianchang House was still a "beneficial king" fief in the era of Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty, and the court would not let Zhang Yanling and his younger brother Zhu Renbing grab territory.

3. Jianchang County (now Yongxiu County, Jiangxi Province)

Haifaint Hou County was founded in the Han Dynasty 104. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Haifaint Hou was split and merged into Jianchang, and the Yuan Dynasty was upgraded to Jianchang County. In the early Ming Dynasty, it was reduced to Jianchang County, belonging to Nankang Prefecture in Jiangxi Province. It was not until 19 14 that it was renamed as' Yongxiu County'. At that time, repairing the river was called building the Yangtze River.

I think 1492 Ming Xiaozong made Zhang Yanling Jianchangbo, 1503 Jianchanghou, and the fief should be here.

4. Other' Jianchang' that can be found.

In addition, there are several Jianchang counties in history: the Southern Song Dynasty and Nanqi were established in the north of Chengdu, Sichuan, and the time was not long.

Nanqi also established Jianchang County in the old Xiangyang Prefecture of Hubei Province, but it soon disappeared, leaving few records.

Jianchang County was also added by Liang in the Southern Dynasties, but it was abandoned in the Chen Dynasty. It was located in the northwest of Chenxi County, Hunan Province for about 50 years.

During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Jianchang County was established in the southwest of Wenxian County, Gansu Province, and was renamed Changsong County in the Sui Dynasty.

During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, Jianchang County was established in Chaoyang Prefecture of Zhili, which was soon abolished. In the Republic of China, it was changed to Lingyuan County. After liberation, it was rebuilt in Jehol province. Today, it belongs to Huludao City. It has successively belonged to Hebei, Jehol and Liaoning.

It is worth mentioning that this place is 200 miles northeast of Lingyuan County, Hebei Province. The former commander-in-chief of Qian (deputy commander-in-chief of East Road) was stationed, which was called Jianchang Road Camp or Jianchang Camp. Don't underestimate it. 1568 (22 years after Zhang Yanling was killed at the beginning of the camp) was established to manage Yanhe Camp, Taitou Camp and Jianchang Camp. Later, Qi Jiguang and Yuan Chonghuan stationed troops here to resist the invasion of northwest minorities.

Vietnam (then called' Annan') has a Jianchang mansion, which was built in the fifth year of Ming Chengzu, but it was occupied by Vietnam itself as early as the Xuande period (1426- 1435), and the location was' 200 miles southeast of Tokyo, Vietnam'.

These places can be fenced off. But these places have completely lost the possibility in time.

In addition, there is a small place in Sichuan called Jianchangba, which mines copper at 1864- 1867 in Zhongshan Ping, Leibo County. This will be ruled out directly.
