What are the consequences of stealing property electricity?

Legal analysis: stealing electricity is illegal, and it should bear corresponding legal responsibilities, including civil liability, administrative liability and even criminal liability. Stealing electricity is stealing. If it does not constitute a criminal offence, it may also constitute a violation of the Law on Public Security Administration Punishment and may be punished for public security. Theft with a large amount or multiple thefts constitutes theft.

Legal basis: Article 71 of the Electricity Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), whoever steals electricity shall be ordered by the administrative department of electric power to stop the illegal act, recover the electricity fee and impose a fine of less than five times the electricity fee payable; If the case constitutes a crime, criminal responsibility shall be investigated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Criminal Law.
